it's so much better than the original, however the story is goofy as fuck and the objectives are REALLY unclear most of the time, and you often have no idea how to proceed. i really wanted to give this a higher rating but the objective thing really ruined it for me

much better than the last two chapters, it felt scary, it was much longer and much more serious than the last. however it did feel like a mix of resident evil 8 (beneviento), portal 2 (the underground facility) and fnaf (the entire lore and the hour of joy), so it wasn't very original. it also contained a lot of bugs, ex: miss delight didn't chase me at all through the school (she got stuck in a door). it also fails to explain the objective in a lot of parts, like in the circus area with the critters and in the final fight against catnap, most of the times you have no clue what you have to do and therefore you get killed a million times before you finally figure it out. the game also saves like 5 minutes before a fight, so whenever u get killed u have to walk again all over from the beggining and it's so frustrating. another thing i didn't like was the lack of catnap, i would've liked to see him more often through the chapter since he's the main protagonist but instead he only appears in random events that are really easy to miss if you're looking in another direction. not to mention the horrible frame drops because of the terrible optimization... overall it has many issues that need to be fixed and it's kind of like a mix of several games together but it was still really scary and enjoyable (at least for me, i don't usually play horror games often)

better than the first, but still not it... it was really similar to bendy and the ink machine and it wasn't scary at all, the chase scene was a copy of the first chapter's chase scene and overall not scary. however it was much better than the first one

chapter 1 was nawt it, not scary, boring, etc

this was absolutely wonderful. just a dlc but it could easily pass as a full game. completely different from anything done before in any splatoon game and it's beautiful. the story is amazing, the stages are well thought, the dialogues are funny and well written and the plot twists were wonderful. the gameplay is fun as well, it's long and you have many ways to customize your experience in order to play it however you please, and don't even get me started on the soundtrack..... i also particularly love the dark undertone that the story has and im just happy that this dlc exists (and sad that side order was a letdown)

the gameplay is different and i liked it, but the story is so lacking and short that it feels kinda like a joke... there's no depth like in octo expansion, almost no cutscenes at all, and you can go from the beggining to the final boss in two hours or less. considering we waited an extremely long time for this it's really underwhelming, and the fact that they want you to play it over and over again makes it dull and repetitive. octo expansion was miles better than whatever this was. i'm not giving it 0 stars because we got a little tiny bit of pearlina moments i guess and because the boss designs were very cool as well

very fun if u have someone to play with!!

it's good/enjoyable for the first bit before kk enters your island, but it's empty and boring afterwards, there's literally nothing to do (and the npcs are dry as fuck)

i played this a long time ago before i lost my 3ds. i was devastated. this is such an awesome game, new horizons isn't even close

a whole ass horror game tbh... i played it after pikmin 4 and it really makes you realize how easy pikmin 4 is! this game is literally so difficult and scary in the caves (specially submerged castle) and sometimes it gets really fucking annoying (the enemies respawning after u kill them, bugs taking down the bridges u build, the pikmin behaving in stupid ways, the pikmin being slow as fuck, NO AUTO AIM [this was literally hell], among others)
however i liked the fact that it was so much more difficult than what i'm used to in a pikmin game because sometimes you lose 60 pikmin to a random bomb falling from the sky and you just gotta laugh. still, i was hoping for it to end (i promised myself i would finish it and i wasn't giving up) because i couldn't stand the lack of autoaim and a random fucking plant-frog hybrid jumpscaring me and stomping on all my pikmin for no reason, as well as the literal horror that you go through whenever you decide to enter a cave.
definitely prefer pikmin 4 any day, but it was still a fun playthrough and makes pikmin 4 seem like a game for newborns. i paid the debt and left, i'm not going back, and fuck louie!

even though i had played pikmin 1 and pikmin 3 before, this is the first pikmin game that i complete, and i absolutely loved it!!! it has SO much content and even a mini remaster of the first game, which is amazing and rare for a nintendo game. the graphics are amazing too, the new camera system is just what this franchise needed and oatchi is a great addition (though i can see why some people don't like it)
i think that they should've named this game just "pikmin" since it's essentially a reboot of the series (none of the past three games are canon in this game) but yeah. the only thing i didn't like is the fact that so many cool perks are unlocked at the very end of the game, so you don't really get to use them (like the secret oatchi ability or the pluck whistle), and i also was very saddened when i noticed the lack of NG+, the horrible multiplayer mode (super mario galaxy tease?) and the lack of online for dandori battles (this one specifically was so dumb). but in general, this is an amazing, long game that definitely feels worth the full price. hoping for a dlc in the future!
time spent achieving the good ending (saving oatchi): 31h30m - all castaways rescued, 3 leaflings left to heal, olimar's shipwreck tale still not started
time spent achieving the complete? ending (healing 3 remaining leaflings + starting and completing olimar's shipwreck tale): 35h10m
time spent clearing the game 100% (completing sage leaf trials): 37h33m

this was SO much better than BOTW in every single aspect? the new mechanics and the new areas made this game so SO enjoyable, it really feels amazing to play and i'm having such a blast with it... it literally made BOTW seem empty, dull and boring, because absolutely every single aspect in here is 10x better like it's actually insane lmao. I said BOTW felt weird because there was nothing to do, but with this game I literally have 0 complaints in that regard because i'm constantly playing it even after beating the final boss because I just can't get enough of it. Fuse is the best thing Nintendo has ever invented in their entire years of existence. The only complaint that I have is about the story, because it does feel like it's just a slight rework of BOTW (go to 4 locations then kill the bad guy, but you can go beforehand if u want). Other than that it's amazing tho. The bosses are so much better than the last game, the dungeons are so much better, the weapon system, the arrow system, the new powers, literally absolutely everything is amazing. Loved it. Don't know how many hours tho.
Editing to add another thing that i loved about this: the sheer amount of creativity that there is in this game. There are literally a trillion ways to solve each puzzle, if it works it works. There's obviously an intended way to solve it, but if you can't figure it out or you think of something that can work better than that, you're free to make your own solution and solve the puzzle that way, which is really rewarding and makes you feel like a really good engineer. You can combine all of the abilities to do so many things, especially the rewind ability, and it's just so dynamic, engaging and fun. Truly an amazing experience.

was really amazing, fun and addicting at first, but it became too boring as time went on and I ended up abandoning it, not sure why, but yeah I completed 3 of the 4 trials so i'd say I was very close to finishing it anyway. the environment was really beautiful, the cutscenes were super cool, the side quests were short (which i love!), it took me like 3 hours to explore the whole castle and it was overall a really good experience while it lasted

i feel like i'm in an alternate universe, because while everyone is praising the shit out of this game, i feel like it's a really terribly made prototype in which the only good thing it has is the boss designs (appearance wise, because gameplay wise they're absolutely fucking terrible).
i remember walking through the first minutes of the game wondering 'okay, when does it get that good? when do i finally get to experience the MasterPiece that everyone is talking about??' and i continued to feel this way till i finally abandoned it after reaching the second boss. it really doesn't get better than a prototype. i was planning to complete it, no matter how bad it was, because it costed me 40$, but i simply cannot bring myself to play it lol it feels like a chore....
the story makes no sense, its just a bunch of pointless poorly written dialogues scattered around a piece of land and it's really fucking annoying after being told it was a 'masterpiece'
i was told sonic stans had low standards but holy motherfucking shit! this is actually the worst gaming experience i've had since security breach (and i dare say it was better in some aspects!) and i feel like everyone is collectively trolling by saying this bullshit ass game is any good. it genuinely baffles me because you'd go into any bossfight video on youtube and everyone's like 'wish i could experience this masterpiece again' and i'm just so so so confused? like the gameplay is genuinely horrible and the bosses are button spamming at most? i really feel like i'm in a different universe! lil rant because i feel like i should've spent those 40$ on sea of thieves instead lol. worst thing is i had a hunch from the very beggining, watching those unity-project-looking empty environments with horrible pop-in issues, but my dumbass still wanted to try it because of the great reviews lmaooooo never again
