Secretly the best Prime game, possibly my favorite Metroid game in terms of story. Feels like a polished redo of the previous game. Plagued my 10 year old brain with nightmares when it came out. Still suffer from that to this day

Popeye Space Invaders

All of Metroids strengths are amplified in 3 dimensions, as now you get to be directly faced with the environment you are in. In this game, you cure a planet of Cancer and I for some reason think thats beautiful

Fun piece of DS Mid. Worth sinking the 20 or so hours in to while you watch YouTube in the background. JUST good enough in places to come recommended. 95% of my enjoyment came from the ridiculous Mysticism/Pseudo Science elements, as I am a suckered for that. You even fight a Cabal of Elites, like QAnon told us all about!

Almost infuriatingly good. Honestly just makes so many other excellent games look bad. If the others are cartoon shows, this is like the masterpiece movie.

Lu-Mid-nous Arc

The first game i ever beat, the first game to scare me, to make me understand storytelling in games, and the first game to make me cry. A truly fantastic final boss of an angry mother trying to protect her last child and a uniquely beautiful ending afterwards. This was 1991 and it was pushing the medium of storytelling forward light-years without saying a word

Way WAAAAY too many mechanics for a portable game with an emphasis on story and characters. Requires an absurd amount of dedication and personal time investment for very little to no return. Would in fact be easier to pilot an actual starfleet. Also the main character wants to fuck his sister.
