Replaying it again in 2024, with the PC port, I could confirm that this was indeed a masterpiece. There's some flaws, of course, like some animations taking too long and the underwhelming epilogue/cut content, but the way the story is handled, how beautiful the game is even after 4 years of release with its beautiful landscapes and amazing character models/animations, the dialogue, the immersion of playing in a 1900's America, everything. Arthur Morgan is also one of the best protagonists in gaming as well, he is excellently written. Just an excellent game.

Diet Symphony of the Night. Of course, that isn't a bad thing, this is a fun and enjoyable Metroidvania, which borrows heavily HEAVILY from SOTN. The story and characters are a joke, and the graphics aren't really good in my opinion. The part this game shines is the gameplay, since it plays almost like SOTN. The shard system is interesting but I just ended up using the same shards for every encounter, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was enjoyable to play through, but I have no desire to do any 100% stuff like I do with other metroidvanias.

Having played 1 and 2, this game is more of the same, which is good for me. It goes deeper into the city setting than 2, which I feel like its good to see how the virus affected outside, but I still miss combing through a single place and fully getting to know it, like the mansion and the police station. The characters were kind of whatever, and I liked the Nemesis appearances (Stars...). Overall, enjoyable but 2 was a liiiittle bit better.
