I'd like to return to this game but it can get a bit frustrating with how poorly it runs on the PS4.

Good game. The only reason I stopped playing is because the Remastered version got announced when I was in the middle of my playthrough. Whoops.

Painfully mediocre. It feels like a fusion between Breath of the Wild, Nier Automata, and gacha games, but none of the things that makes those games fun. Things like air combos and defensive options are locked behind characters you have to gamble for. The open world is stunning, the music is chilling, the characters are all very likeable and the story is interesting, but it's all held back by a very lackluster game. It would've been better as an actual paid MMO, a single player open world game or just an anime/manga.
The PC port is awful if you want to play this with a controller. The launcher and title screen both cannot be navigated with a controller and you have to manually enable controller support every time you launch the game. It's been out for months now with this remaining the same.

This game is shockingly good. The new characters are all really compelling, Saejima in particular is amazing. I feel like the game starts to fall apart in the latter part of the story, as things start getting a little too silly and the plot twists become so ridiculous that this game spawned a meme. That being said, this game definitely feels like one of the more heartfelt, genuine Yakuza games. The flaws are easy to forgive because you can really feel the passion from the writers for this game. The gameplay, thankfully, is pretty good too.

One of the best Final Fantasy stories bar none. Some of the best music in the series. A masterclass in MMOs and JRPGs in general.
As of 5.5, the postgame content has been very strong, but is held back by delays and other production issues due to COVID (lack of voice acting, removed content, etc)

Fun action game that is held back by feeling too much like a musou. Music is fantastic, story is very strong but loses steam at the end.

Everything about DMC4 but even better. Legendary Dark Knight mode is ridiculously fun. The campaign is still pretty weak, but this is a port and you probably already know the story, so it's not a big deal. The new characters are fantastic additions. Vergil is great as expected, but Lady is also fantastic. I'd like to see her in more DMC games. Trish feels a bit too much like an easier Dante, but that's fine since even a nerfed Dante is fun to play as. If she returns, I'd like to see a more unique moveset.

Vergil good. I wish the new cutscenes weren't pre-rendered.
I played the PC port but I'm counting it since mods give you all of the Special Edition features. (Turbo, Legendary Dark Knight, etc.) Speaking of, it's silly that this port remains exclusive to PS5 and Xbox.

Amazing action game. Without PC mods its a 4.5, mods bumps it up to a 5 which is why I have it listed as my favorite game.

Game good. I just wish it ran better online. When playing with four people, the framerate commonly drops to gross levels. It's still playable, but visually can be a bit of a mess and it becomes hard to discern what's happening.
Looking forward to the updates to this.

Best Yakuza game. That's all that needs to be said.

Not as good as Yakuza 0 or a lot of the stronger games in the series for that matter. There's a lot of bloat and some of the enemy encounters are insufferable. Substories can be kind of weak. Overall though, it's still a very solid game. Just not one of the best ones.

One of the best action games of all time. The advanced techniques in this make the combo scene a strong one, even over a decade later. The story campaign is pretty weak, but Bloody Palace really saves this game. If you treat it like an arcade game it's perfection.

Wow. This is old and shockingly rough. I can only recommend this if you are patient for janky old action games. I watched a summary video for this game on youtube and skipped it.
