A surprisingly compelling story with one of my favorite casts I've seen from this series in a while. Puzzles are solid but I have to knock a few points for how unevenly the content felt spread throughout areas (you'll spend like half the game getting lost in mazes), and the way to trigger events felt a little forced (having to open items again that you've already seen just to get Nancy to comment on them to advance the plot).

I think the environmental storytelling here was really solid. They never go in depth into Renate's backstory or what the deal was with the missing girls, but you can pick up enough pieces to understand the whole picture and given the target audience of the game, it's understandable that they didn't go into too much depth with it.

have only done multiplayer but damn it's great for when people come over

i'd unplug nanako's life support to charge my phone even if it had 100% battery

barcus wroot is the only bitch that matters in this game

i have hated few characters as much as i do chiaki hayasaka.

needlessly edgy a lot of times, if i have to hear "one more god rejected" with the stupid garage band vocals one more time i am going to rip my ears out

the story and gameplay are ass but i got really invested in matchmaking. 5/10, solid game.

saw maya in the first 5 minutes, closed the game and never looked back

it's a cute game but personally not for me

overall just too an edgy game and relies too heavily on shock factor

it could've been so easy for this game to have gone off the deep end and try to tackle too much at once, but thankfully it didn't go that route. it's just a simple, but extremely compelling, story about a kid's trauma and him coming to terms with it. this game goes really in depth with just this one aspect of acceptance, but it does an extremely good job with it.

having put hundreds of hours both in the original and overclocked, i think overclocked is the better version of the game for new players because of the qol improvements. however, i will always personally prefer the original because 2 of the 3 8th days are kinda.. mid at best.

sloppily written when compared to the prior 7 days; either too many plot lines that aren't fleshed out enough (amane's), or just goes against the original vision/spirit of the game (yuzu's)

what the fuck why is a gacha game the most fun i've had with a turn based game in a long time
