DNF - got a game breaking bug where I couldn't progress in Chapter 3. Rating is preliminary, might return to it in the future.

Chapter 11 is one of the worst things I've ever played. I know people shit on the game for the linearity but I was really enjoying it up until you reach the tedious, boring, and bland open field in that chapter. The worst thing the game did was 'open up'.
If you don't do the monotonous side content that forces you to backtrack over and over again, you'll be severely underlevelled, and even if you do them the fights are still miserable.
Will probably take a break from FF for the minute and just move straight onto XIII-2 after a while.

can't bring myself to finish it in this state. what a dreadful game. it's not even the bugs or the performance issues, it's just a poor, poor game - horrendous AI, uninteresting missions, absolutely 0 engaging RPG elements, boring open world. i think i probably have about 5-6 hours left of the main story after around 25 hours of playtime and i just can't do it anymore. had enough.
