Thoroughly enjoyed this one, honestly might be my 2nd favorite AW game behind the first one. The reworked CO ability is fantastic and led to the battle system feeling much more balanced and strategic, as certain CO boosts and abilities were OP in previous entries. It made the game feel like it was going back to basics, especially coming from Dual Strike where the dual battle system felt gimmicky. Story wise its fine, I don’t think any AW game has a plot to write home about but I appreciate the shift to a darker tone in this one

A decent LEGO game, but it feels as if TT played it very safe LEGO-fying the movies. The slapstick humor, puzzles, and overall charm is pretty barebones compared to other LEGO games, and while having Middle-Earth be open world was nice, there isn’t much to do outside of the same repetitive fetch quests in every area. The framerate absolutely chugs in co-op too, which is unfortunate as it is one of the prettier LEGO games

Very fun game! one of the best arcade racers, it perfects the blend of chaos and high speed action without it being too overwhelming. there’s a good variety of events, car types, and courses, wrapped up with a wonderful wacky presentation and to the tune of a great 2000s poppunk soundtrack (midtown!). the only flaw is that the AI can be frustrating at times, especially in the later races where they feel invincible and a single crash pushes you back 7 seconds from them vs taking them out still has them on your butt

This game is fine and I think thats what disappoints me the most - I reaaaally wanted to like this game but I was bored by the back half of the game, mainly because the levels are pretty similar. They tend to mesh together so I was going through the motions and while they did get slightly more difficult, it still felt relatively safe. The mechanics are good enough, I liked the unique concept behind the yo-yo but the levels never really push you to “master” them, you can get by just taking your time. And for a game built around speed, there’s a lot of start-stopping so I didn’t feel an incentive to combo my movements. The side missions are pointless, as they’re the same 3-5 types of missions repeated over and over for every level. The art direction, character design, and soundtrack are fantastic though

honestly one of the best couch co-op games ever made, words can’t do justice to this banger

Pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this! Motion-centric games usually lose their charm by an hour or so, but here they’re implemented very well and I can’t imagine playing this game without them. I found them to be pretty spot on and I always felt in control even as I screwed up. This is my first MB game so i have no clue what the standard is for a “good” MB game is but this one was cute and fit the wii aesthetic perfectly. This game wasn’t too challenging up until world 6, which makes sense considering the target audience, so the learning curve was pretty generous. One of my favorite Wii games to date

A little better than the first game - its now a roguelike instead of a linear run and gun, and the movement of the original translates well to this genre change. Lovely nostalgic visuals and soundtrack as well. My only gripe is that I wish they went harder with the random stat buffs/debuffs of all the weapons, as they are typically just marginally better/worse than your current equipment. There isn’t much variety between missions once you get a good loadout going, and there’s only ~7 or so random objectives, so it starts to feel pretty repetitive quick. It’s still pretty fun though as its always chaotic

Cast is pretty weak as I wasn’t compelled to really care for them and the story is alright with the standard SMT-series themes, but the gameplay was really addicting once you get the hang of it. It is very magic-focused though and I didn’t feel you could get as creative with your party as other SMT games, especially towards the endgame where you kinda just need to spam almighty since bosses resist everything (I beat the final bosses with literally the same demon x6 in my party which had almighty attacks)

the chaos in co-op is what makes this game so fun

this game was decent up until the final boss, making a pixel-perfect precision game using the most imprecise control scheme known as the vita’s gyro is the stuff of nightmares

This goes from one of the worst versions of Rayman 2 to one of the better ones if you have a modded new 3DS, as overclocking and enabling L2 cache makes this game run at a near flawless 60fps instead of the terrible inconsistent 20fps it originally runs at. As for the game itself, its alright, its a fun little mindless platformer. My major gripes with the game is that it felt a bit too zoomed in so it was hard to tell what was going on, the enemies were more annoying than challenging since they barely did damage, the environments felt so drab and dull, and the audio seems flubbed. Outside of that, this version was neat

This game’s presentation and story reaaaallly bogged the experience down, I tried to like it at first but pretty quickly it started to negatively impact my time with the game. It’s so nonsensical and unnecessary, and more often than not I’m just clicking through the dialogue to get to the next set of minigames. Besides that though this is a great collection of minigames from the previous RH games and the new ones are fun too

this game is pure stress, good lord screw triti

Charming and touching story, but my brain is too small for most of these puzzles
