Loved this one. Great party brawler.

Its a perfect blend of hilarious and fun. I was surprised to find myself enjoying the fighting, which was a nice kind of slow and methodical style to it. It helps the game bounce from everyone laughing to a couple minutes of a sweaty UFC brawl. Of course, i bought it for the laughs, but i stayed for this.

The variety of gamemodes helps this one make a strong case for itself as a great party game, too. Foodfights, dodgeball, giant hunt, theres a ton of them, and they're great. Theres even four little (mostly) co-op story campaigns you can do.

Highly recommend! it's up there with War of the Monsters and Godzilla Save the Earth in terms of S tier party brawlers.

2019

This one's interesting. Comparable to other co-op horror shooters like Left 4 Dead or Killing Floor, but with a much stronger emphasis on stealth.

GTFO moves slowly, you're gonna spend a lot of time cautiously trying to sneak up on the molemen and kill them before they wake up, searching for items, and fighting in horde defense sections.

I find the molemen themselves kind of annoying, especially with the ranged attacks. This is one of those games where you aren't always gonna know where you're getting hit from, which gets kinda frustrating. Other than that its a very immersive experience and i had fun, its a good creepy kind of scary.

Very simple, but very fun! Just get a few friends and run around one of a handful of high school levels, collecting the answers to the finals!

It's kinda difficult to actually die in this one, but who cares! Games go on for a long time so I'd say it's necessary.

Its got a really cool dark atmosphere, but it gets pretty predictable with the whole "morally evil option saves most resources" or whatever shtick. Generally too linear imo

The spiritual successor to Jaws Unleashed is nothing if not fun, for a while anyways.

I disliked combat between other sea life in general, it tends to slog and a simple fight can sometimes take forever. The real fun is entirely in eating humans. Its a blast to swim around the hunters, dodge their shots and fly out and catch them. Its cool. I could do that for hours tbh. Fighting people was my favorite part of Jaws Unleashed as well.

A lot of the controls and mechanics from Unleashed make a re-appearance as well, the trashing mechanics and such are all here, makes killing shit as brutal as ever. Tail whip as well, and they expand upon both in ways i think are good. You quickly amass a nice arsenal of abilities that you gotta just stay aware of in order to keep stuff spicy and fun.

As the game progresses, it gets more repetitive, which is a real shame in my view, i felt like there was so much more to be done with being basically a horror movie monster.

Oh and there's a lot of Killing Floor references, if you're into that.

At the risk of upsetting some folks, i always felt this was the weakest entry in the series (so far). Everything about this one felt stale, the absurdism of 4 hadn't been taken to it's full potential yet, and as a result it felt like a cheap, hokey shadow of SR2. I also really dislike Steelport, and the cartoony aesthetic just doesn't do it for me in this one.

As for positives, I do like the melee combat, the luchadores are fun, and i enjoyed the professor genki activity.

The mechanics in this one encompass what i feel are the best foundation for a fun shooter. Third person, lock-on aim, high mobility and platforming. (I.e. variations of the classic Tomb Raider formula). In particular, the dual pistols allow you to lock on to two enemies at one, which kicks ass. I really enjoy the combat in this game.

In fact, another thing i love about this game, you have a fairly diverse set of weapons. A flamethrower, darts, heat seeking missiles, i forget what else. But those listed are really cool.

As for downsides; It does get hard later, i think a wider FOV would have helped with a lot of that, but this is from 2002 so we work with what we're given. What is more frustrating later on, really, is some of the platforming. Some of these levels should have been cut completely, if im being honest.

The actual bounty hunting is awesome in the early game, but also gets annoying later. Luckily, you don't actually need to catch every mark.

I wish 1313 actually got made, i'm sure we'll see something similar anyways though, whether you play as Jango or Boba or even the Mandolorian (sry havent watched it to know the dudes name) im sure we'll get another SW game of this style sometime in the future.

Would have been better if they never tried to relate it to Saints Row at all. Completely unnecessary for it to have anything to do with that franchise. As a game itself its core loop is meh and doesn't have enough variance as the game goes on to stay engaging. Mid.

At this point in development, Hellish Quart fills the hole left by Bushido Blade some years ago. Faster, high impact combat, its really intense and really fun. Can't wait to see what they add to it! I hope multiple weapon choices per character will be a thing.

I fucking love this game. It is the best game ever, PERIOD.

This is the game Postal 4 wanted to be.

This game rules so hard. Great mixture of the classic arcade games and more modern approaches. Easy to pick up and super fun to play. 10/10!

This one was actually really good, fast paced arena shooter with really cool customization options. A lot of the throwables and other auxiliary equipment were neat and fit the whole cyberpunk thing they were going for very well. Probably a little TOO similar to other games of its time, in some ways, but it was a really fun time. The maps were really good too.

This rules. Gets really hard towards the end, but a ton of fun regardless. Super funny too, all sorts of weird illnesses and stuff. Even when stuff goes wrong its usually kinda funny.

Spent countless hours on the original in my youth. As a remake, this exceeds expectations. Each map has a ton of love and thought put into it, full of life and tiny set pieces. Its all very charming while rampaging through these cities.

If you ask me, the game peaks in Japan. Theres lots of fun in making ninjas and yakuza fight each-other, and the most memorable boss in the whole game. Still, the remainder offers tons of fun and exploration afterwards, and if you dont do everything all at once, you can always return to these areas to do cult missions and odd jobs.
