I really want to love this game; it's right up my alley -- a cyberpunk movement FPS with Hotline Miami-esque instakill gameplay? Are you kidding me? The graphics are insane for an indie as well.
But for the razor's edge-type gameplay the game is after, it can't help but feel imprecise at times. I feel like the neon glow that makes the game look as good as it does also hinders it gameplay-wise -- it's like Halo 5, where you have no idea what to aim at sometimes.
The story's kinda predictable too, but I wasn't going into this game expecting much. The focus is on the gameplay.
Probably will return to knock out Hardcore Mode.

Well, if the OG can be compared to Half-Life, this was definitely Op4. Very streamlined and way too many enemies near the end.

Just a little too edgy. I dunno, the funny voice guy had a funny voice though. Maybe I’ll replay it on a higher difficulty, it took like 3 hours total

Unbelievable this is where it ended. It was about to get so good!

Cool level pack, was a lot more glitchy than the base game for me though. In spite of praising the gravity gun earlier I think I would've liked some more real guns here too

Really inspiring creativity sometimes. You'll see mods on the workshop like the realistic liquid simulation gWater or a full recreation of 2000s NYC... then you'll turn around and a Kleiner will be making a penis out of explosive barrels

I've played for probably a couple dozen hours but never finished because my save keeps corrupting. Much more fun to give yourself all items and screw around in a sandbox level

Nothing too special as a level, but the dev commentary is super cool, both from the perspective of a Valve fan and an aspiring game dev

I admit I like the setting of the original Half-Life better. But what a masterclass in game design! I feel like the gravity gun is so obviously fun that we should've come up with it way earlier

The thing about going back through old Valve games is that their reputation precedes them in the most literal sense. I took a screenshot of "the cake is a lie" because it feels like a turning point in history.

Easiest of the 3 (will play Decay later when I have friends)

A little bit rough around the edges, but pretty great. Wish the grapple got more attention.

Really cool atmosphere and the stuff people dig up about the AI is unreal. Shame everything Xen was super tedious, it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth

Greatest argument for being Amish I've ever seen.

Proximity chat is the funniest mechanic ever invented
