Feels just as if not more restrictive as the first game. The story is entertaining enough, but don't expect it to feel specific to you.

Just as good as Half-Life 2, if not better.

Still pretty good, more of Half-Life 2 except way shorter, more tedious, and less exciting, but more Alyx is always a bonus.

Half-Life 2 is a near-perfect combination of quality gameplay and story-telling the likes of which the gaming industry needs far more of. The gameplay itself is fun, diverse, and creative, it still looks great, the characters are memorable, the story, while not wholly unique, is told in the most intriguing way possible and often utilizes the gameplay to convey it for you. I now get the hype for a new game, but I also get why it'd never meet expectations too. Something as near-perfect as this is tough to follow up, but it's easily a new all-time favorite.

If you haven't gotten around to it yet, play Half-Life 2, it's worth every minute.

An improvement on the first Half-Life. Not afraid to rearrange or change things from the original, for better or worse (but usually for the better).

It's clear why this was innovative at the time, but it does show it's age in many areas. Definitely worth a playthrough.

An improvement on the first game in every way. Play it.

Definitely loses some of the appeal on multiple playthroughs, but still a fun experience.

Short, simple fun. But you probably already knew that.

The absolute best 2D Mario game, hands down.

A solid collection. Definitely worth a purchase if you're looking to get into the series. I can't really say I'm a fan but I also can't say that these games aren't well-made.

Good balance of story and gameplay with some solid combat. If you're a fan of the older games, despite the difference in tone and gameplay pacing, there's still plenty here for you.

One of the best narratives and open worlds in a video game that's plagued by painfully linear missions and somewhat clunky controls. Totally playable, and I'd still recommend it to anybody that might be interested, but it's far from perfect.

Overall feels like a downgrade from the base game. The story over-explains itself to the point where most mysteries left open by the first game are completely gone, and the gameplay lacks the variety seen in Lisa the Painful. The dark humor is still there but is noticeably less prominent. If you liked the previous games, it's worth a playthrough, but don't expect much.

2014

One of, if not my favorite game ever made. Among the countless array of indie RPGs, Lisa manages to stand out as truly unmatched. It's gameplay, while somewhat standard for an RPG, manages to stand out as the narrative fully takes advantage of it. If you can handle dark subject matter and humor and/or enjoy an excellently crafted piece of art, I highly recommend Lisa.
