Once I set up an intuitive steam deck control scheme, it played super well handheld. What a pleasant and lovely game! Incredibly satisfying game. The sounds and the clockwork of the machine once you solve a puzzle is chefs kiss.

Really enjoyed this rogue-lite! All the classes are uniquely fun. I love progression and there are so many things to upgrade. rogue lite metroidvania with platforming elements - so manh of mt favorite ingredients. I don’t feel compelled to beat it and am putting it to rest for now. I deeply enjoyed my 30 hours in this game. Super glad I played this.

Beautiful game. Loved the art, sound design, and pacing. However, I am not in a fit state to deal with challenging decisions in my leisure time.

This was my 2022 game of the year. It made me realize that - at least for this season of my life - what I most want from games is to be charmed and to be told to collect things.

Uncovering how to navigate each room was a constant joy. The slow drip of storytelling and the constant immersion in atmosphere and world was perfect.

Really incredible how much sense of exploration this game gives. Impressive sense of space and movement for a top-down zelda. They brought a lot of the feeling of 3D zelda into a smaller, pixel package.

Lots of cool items that impact traversal, puzzles and combat.

They also give you a lot of reasons to engage with NPCs multiple times and really enjoy the sense of place and atmosphere.

The last dungeon got tedious and put a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Instead of a crescendo, I got a bit frustrated. I should have put it down a little earlier.

All that said, great game and I highly recommend!

First time playing a point and click adventure, and I loved it!

Charming aesthetics and exploration are two of my favorite game elements and this had loads of both. I really loved the music, the paper craft art style, and the voice acting.

I wasn’t so sure it was for me at first, but once I met Flambé the writing clicked for me, and I started enjoying the puzzles and story much more.

Plus, I love a 10 hour game.

I got about 10 hours into this and really enjoyed it! Very charming game with great visuals and voice acting.

However, as the combat system got more complicated, I lost interest in learning it and bounced off.

Maybe someday I will set it to easy and cruise through the story.

Super Mario 3D World is a really neat combination of what is great about both 2D and 3D Mario games. I enjoyed jumping in for a few levels at a time. Great music, great play forming, I mean - it’s Mario!

Bowser’s Fury is great! Made me realize how ready I am for another full 3D Mario game to come out. Bowser’s time-based visits do make it hard to fully immerse and enjoy the world, but it’s a fun new element that adds some challenge to the platforming.

I am dropping off at the 47 star mark. You can find discussion online about why you may end up doing the same.

Even so, I greatly enjoyed my time with it, and may power through 47-50 at some point so that I can enjoy the remaining stars.

2021

Wow! Had so much fun chilling out with this game. Put in 30 hours in a couple weeks without realizing it. When exploring new areas, I really immersed myself in it and enjoyed the music. While hunting for secrets in known areas, this was the perfect podcast game.

I really enjoyed the vibe, the sci-fi story you pick up ambiently, and the coming of age story.

Really fun twin stick RPG but bounced off once the difficulty ramped. I wanted to treat this as a mindless grind, but encountered a tough boss that I couldn’t beat after a few tries.

I may come back to this. I love that it’s an RPG and not a rogue-like, so that I can keep my progress.

I only put a few hours into this so far.
