the urobutcher is at it again. this is my favorite work by him, and i think it's one that is going to be remembered for a long time. a nasty (but romantic) little story about an innocent cthulu monster who just wants some love. art is fabulous, but the OST really steals the show. infodump suddenly in the true end ruins it though. good end is best end.

a fascinating and complex work. ahead of its time now and forever. [i'm talking to YOU.]

the yokai/human sight mechanic which is so fun in the main campaign actually comes back to bite this game in the ass in post since it makes the pure 'yokai sight' runs too easy and the pure 'human sight' runs almost impossible without a guaranteed strategy. but all in all, the most balanced touhou game (main campaign duo teams only) with the best OST.

for all the dreamers and artists.

thank you very much

definitely a mixed bag. the investigation system is really bad -- i've never met anyone who prefers it over the traditional point 'n' click from the previous games. they really missed the opportunity to create a completely new personality for the sidekick. trucy, at the very least, is a maya fey clone paired with a repeat phoenix wright. there's no excuse for kay to be a repeat maya with someone as different as edgeworth. still a fun ace attorney game for fans of the series though.

gumshoe is still suffering from his identity crisis from apollo justice's final case. the flanderization is a bit sad.

i unfortunately own this, and i can't bring myself to get rid of it since i'm just such a huge ace attorney fan.
a complete mockery of phoenix's character -- imagine my shock when i found out shu takumi was forced to write him in at capcom's behest! the 3rd case is the most frustrating thing i have ever read in my life, and the most laughable 'epic finale' in the series' history. kristoph is one of the worst villains in media.

i really wish this series was more well-known! a fun little horror game that has snappy dialogue and some creepy spritework.

slightly better than 5 days. who the fuck names any type of friendly vehicle "The Mephistopheles" and isn't asking for a horror story to unfold? holy shit

2001

good atmosphere, but that's about it. the 'mystery' sucks and half of the routes are useless. "nightmare" section of takako's route is a masterpiece though.
