It’s aight I didn’t think they did too much different from the first game if I’m being honest. Just SYNTHETIK with a 3D reskin

This game was absolutely unhinged and insane in the best ways possible. They built upon the bare bones turn based combat of the previous game and turned it into something more engaging with the ability to move and combo off of your teammates more. The new classes are all a blast to use as well. Oh and the side content. There is an INSANE amount of stuff to get sidetracked and do; you can be a Door Dash Demon, a trainer who captures other humans and puts them against battle with other trainers, or you can literally just play Animal Crossing. That’s only the major side content that’s offered. It’s just such a massive upgrade in terms of gameplay.

My main criticisms lie in the writing for this game. It feels as if RGG Studio has wrote themselves in a weird limbo where they can’t quite seem to move on from Kiryu, but still want Ichiban as the MC moving forward. Also who would’ve seen the plot twist coming? (That was a sarcastic question)

Overall it’s a great game and it is definitely worth playing as a Yakuza fan, just don’t expect the story to be on par with the previous games.

Wow. Very few games can simulate a living, breathing universe like Starsector. The freedom of choice to be who you want is incredible. You wanna be a drug smuggler and arms dealer? Become the Bezos of the stars. Like to fight? Everyone loves hiring mercs. Want to spread the word of Ludd through space? Time to arm the religious extremists. Not to mention there's also "main quests" from all the factions.

I highly recommend this game. If you're on the fence about buying this game, SsethTzeentach drops his CD key at the end of his review. Otherwise, just buy it. It is only 15 USD after all.

Probably the last decent game Bethesda has made before releasing Slopfield. This game is really when you start seeing how dated their engine is and the start of their gameplay loop kind of falling of so to speak. I still thought it was an enjoyable playthrough but it definitely is very flawed.

My mom didn't let me get GTA IV as a kid so she bought me this. Little did I know I was playing peak

One of my go to steam deck games. Although not as deep as some deck builders I’ve played, everything in this game was seemingly made with care, especially the meta progression post run.

Truly the greatest immersive sim of all time. The pinnacle of “he’s just like me fr.”

Fun but sometimes I want to hit my “friends” in the face as hard as I can

The gunplay in this game no doubt is the shining point of the game: it’s gritty and fast paced and will make you feel like a methed up super soldier. I think the execution of the later game enemies like the monsters was a little meh and I found the levels to be too dark at times. It’s almost as if they were trying to play into the horror element a little too much when the fun in this game comes from spraying down other gun toting bad guys.

It’s honestly so bad that I got it for free when it was on Steam and I still refuse to download it because of how awful my experience with Dead Island:Riptide was on the Xbox 360

if the bible was so good, why didn't they make a bible 2?

bible 2:

I don't exactly know what I'm missing but I just didn't enjoy Valheim as much as people say they do. Outside of the boss fights it's just a typical gather resources so you can make tables that allow you to create more resources type of survival game.

Not a fan of a gameplay loop that feels like you're doing 90% chores so you can enjoy the 10% where you're actually playing the game

Very cozy. I liked how the story telling is established through all the crap you hoard.

I come back to this game every couple of months to play with friends, and I don't think I've had a boring/bad experience every time I had played it. I normally tend to stay away from trendy "play with ur friends for 2 weeks" type of games but Lethal Company is genuinely good.

Potential to be a "Discord game night with your friends" classic, but it could use some polish. The system on how you get views on the videos you record is extremely vague. You could have the most harrowing, gut wrenching, (GONE WRONG GONE SEXUAL) type of content ever filmed and it will only net you one third of the view "goal" you need. It also doesn't have the same "wtf" factor as the monsters in Lethal Company. The AI is seemingly way less complex than Lethal Company's. Overall it's a good concept, but needs a lot more work.
