not sure if i'm just more resilient from all the other veteran cods i've played now or that this was a lot easier than the other mw games
still the best mw game

so 343 CAN make good games, it just takes them 6 years!
if you're a big fan of the bungie halo games and felt very letdown by 4 and 5, there's a good chance you'll like this game. it feels way more "halo" than those two did despite innovating and changing it up the most

halo reach but bad
ethan is the only good character

one shot into heat on veteran is the most offensive thing i've ever had to experience in a video game

to put it as shortly as i can, persona 4 isn't the greatest video game, but its world, characters, story, interactions, etc. are absolutely wondrous.

(campaign only)
it had an entertaining story, the standard and fun cod campaign gameplay loop, and did some out of the ordinary things for a cod campaign that i found quite fun. all the endings kinda suck though

my love of tales might have me overrating it bc it's definitely the weakest of all the tales games i've played so far but it was still most certainly an enjoyable experience with fun and entertaining characters and had some very good story moments despite being an overall weaker story than the other tales games i've played. it also featured the worst combat system, like i'd rather button mash in berseria, but it was still better than a turn based game lol

while it still retains a solid chunk of the core halo gameplay (the only reason this game isn't just straight up BAD), it still has some hard miss points in the gameplay, with the prometheans just being MUCH less fun to fight compared to the covenant. the story is just, silly, honestly. a bunch of characters not present in any bungie halo game come in and act important with no personality whatsoever, cortana's arc is just silly and made me laugh at multiple points, but the level design wasn't bad (i thought the piloting part at the beginning of the last mission was kinda ass and the pelican section was just SUPER underwhelming though) and fighting the covenant was quite a joy, much to my surprise. i recommend big bungie halo fans to play this game cause it was fun ENOUGH for me personally.
don't touch the multiplayer though lol

update 10/14/21 im replaying through it solo legendary after finding out theres an achievement for it and i was too nice to this game lol

i don't really think this game has a fault. it's infinitely replayable and just tons of fun with friends at all time, unlocking everything is super fun and the game is simple enough for anyone to pick up and play

this is the cod game that made people realize cod campaigns can have awesome stories and then they failed to match it ever again lol
definitely the best cod campaign though

easily the 2nd best jrpg i've played (2nd to symphonia). game is honestly just as good as symphonia, with tons of improvements in various areas...
...but if i'm being dead honest it was just how annoying karol was that makes me like symphonia more

easily the best rpg i've ever played with obscene amounts of charm in every nook and cranny of the game, amazing characters, engaging story, and most importantly, GOOD GAMEPLAY in a jrpg. the game has definitely aged in some areas though (i think the graphics are still fine though tbh), and the dungeon puzzles can be pretty fucking annoying to finish when you have to backtrack the entire damn thing sometimes

one of the most explosive starts to a game series of all time, halo ce comes at you instantly with escaping the maze-like pillar of autumn and crash landing onto a gorgeous landscape located on an artificial "planet" of sorts known as halo. from there on, you explore some of the most iconic levels of all time with some of the most satisfying gameplay an fps has ever seen (not to mention how innovative the console controls were for its time). the game is truly a timeless classic, and, while it's not perfect by any means (the library is fun the first time and painful during any replays, having to backtrack through 3 different levels isn't exactly the greatest level design), it's DAMN fun and should get anyone hooked on the halo series.

outside of the ABHORRENT legendary difficulty balancing and dumb and unfun boss fights (and that FUCKING elevator sequence in one of the flood missions holy fuck why is it so LONG), this game is a true sequel to halo ce and expands upon everything in such a beautiful way that it makes a grown ass man want to cry.

i guess the ending kinda sucked lol but it's not an actual issue in 2020 since it only sucked due to it being a cliffhanger and halo 3 is right there available on multiple platforms now

top tier story, near-top tier level design (long night of solace is the only one i don't love), top tier gameplay, good balancing on legendary difficulty. an absolute masterpiece for sure
