most of arr is so fucking boring but the last 5 or so hours are so genuinely good. can't wait to see the rest of the story

honestly really sad that i ever played this game because im now going to associate its wonderful music with frustration for the rest of my life

i play through this game like once a year just for funsies and this time i got every achievement, and i just love this game so much. its really like one of my favorite things ever since i was a kid. I hope EA rots in hell for what they did to popcap

pretty decent katamari gameplay with a neat gimmick but also probably the biggest assasination of katamari's art style ive yet to discover. the king looks horrifying, the cutscenes are strange, no hate to ac-bu i usually enjoy their stuff I just don't think it works for katamari. also microtransactions 👎🏽 keita takahashi would hate you

i’ve played a lot of kirby games (which i do love) but i never really experienced a 2.5D platformer with a fair challenge before, and it’s great, it leads to very creative level design. the story is adorable, short, and also surprisingly soul-crushing? but the aesthetics and music is what knocks it out of the park. This is the first game i got the pleasure of playing on my new ps vita and it was just a blast the whole way through. recommend hard

corniest video game ever made i love it give me more

if i admit richter is a cool character will you guys stop pretending this game is fun to play
the bosses are probably the best part about this game in my opinion

i don’t really loooove the alignment reps here, a lot of people say it’s their favorite reps in the series.
these are characters who are, motive-wise, very interesting perspectives for the narrative but also they kind of do fucking nothing.
they stick to your side for essentially the entire pre-alignment lock and act as a little angel and devil on your shoulder to react to every situation.
I can’t say i prefer something like nocturne on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, where it’s all entirely developed in the background, but i would kind of like to see my friends develop views from external experiences and disembark from my side in order to make decisions themselves (smt 1 bias but i still thing it builds its reps really well).
however my actual justified complaint with this game is it’s application of alignment mechanically, it’s a headache. i know this is what everyone says but yes it is possible to be too neutral for the neutral route in this game.
also the other common complaint smirking is genuinely such a bad mechanic and the tokyo overworld design in this game is a mess
but I will be honest this is probably some of the most fun you can have with an smt game in terms of party building and combat, and i won’t dig on the story either, it’s a very good take on the mainline games. a lot of the tokyo figureheads are cool and voice acting really sells it. very much recommend this game, especially as an entry point

i struggled with this game for a while but towards the end it really clicked with me
what a sick game

the more i think about the story in the latter sections of the game, i feel like this game doesn’t quite deliver as well as it could. overall this is a pretty great spider-man story and an amazing video game,
but it very much could’ve used a little more time for some missing features and some more care for the conclusion

awesome game with some amazing level and world design, can't wait for more content and hopefully some more attention to the combat and alchemy

the best part of this game was when i got to play the 999 bonus 3rd class cabin somnium

I've always had mixed feelings about Persona 3.
When i played FES, I really didn't mind the combat, I more found issue with the ridiculously slow grind, but when I say I don't like FES' gameplay, its the social mechanics that I hate most. FES' (frequently) very bad slinks, reversing slinks, and forced romances are so infuriating to me, and apparently Makoto's route in Portable still keeps all these issues for some fucking reason, while Femc fixes them. I admit Portable's VN format is kind of lame, and P3 is still a grindy slog no matter what, but i believe Femc in Portable is an upgrade to FES in most aspects.
I don't wanna give story spoilers but I will mention, a lot of people despise the choices Femc can make and I feel the opposite (minus the grooming).
I'm a huge fan of P3's narrative, but I think it’s a bit heavy on the death and sadness, not like any Hashino game is particularly subtle anyways. So while I understand the "It's a game with themes!" argument, maybe i just don't really like those themes as much, and the positive perspective in the face of tragedy that Femc brings to the table is more meaningful to me.
I adore P3's character writing and i would be the last person to defend slinks as a replacement for that (i.e. 4 & 5). but with how many of them in FES fucking suck i couldn't say P3 has the best use of slinks until i played Portable, where only the best of them were kept + Femc's full S.E.E.S. slinks, which add a lot on top of the characters. I think this is the purpose social links should serve.

So the eternal curse of Persona 3 is that there will never be a definitive version and Reload is clearly not gonna change that, unless they make Persona 3 Reload Royal Red-Asshole Edition with Femc in four years or something.
In conclusion, I’ll really die behind Femc, her exclusion in reload is deterring, and I'm not really looking forward to have to play this video game again in a few months but alas i am the bearer of the curse. Glory to the people's republic of Atlus
