this game was worth every single delay. they got it perfect. i’ve never started a game and felt that honeymoon-esque excitement the whole way through! perfect story, perfect gameplay, perfect grinding system, BEST ENDING. please just fix the house building in the next game ok 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

completed in 2022

this was the first game i played as an adult. i don’t think i’d be such a video game girl without having played this. this is an essential playthrough and it is incredibly rewarding.

completed roughly september 2023

i was never able to complete my persona 3 playthrough and it really sucked; by playing persona 4 i was able to make peace with it!

persona 4 was an incredible experience; extremely fun gameplay, a cast with amazing personality and a great story that felt easy to follow along with.

completed dimitri route // femc

silent protagonists can be mildly annoying, but for some reason I really loved byleth. the developers did amazing with conveying her emotions in cutscenes just via facial expressions. i also felt like she was her own person outside of the player, which is not typical for silent protagonists.

fire emblem combat remains fun and exciting in this game, and though the visuals are not of the 2019 quality you expect, it felt charming rather than sloppy. the teaching system was so uniquely cool (though— it’s quite easy to max out the grinding system, and i often found myself with nothing to do on off days), and thinking about running around the monastery makes me feel nostalgic.

i had prior context to the claude route, so it made the dimitri route a lot cooler to see what was actually going on both their sides! dimitri’s story was great, but the dimitri angst quickly became annoying post-time skip.

i love three houses! felix marriage for the win

i cannot rate it because i am not good enough at games to be able to beat this one :( i love zack

i have much to say once i finish this shit

outside of cloud and i’s strong healthy romantic relationship this game genuinely changed the way i viewed video games as a storytelling medium. it’s got everything— fun combat and engaging story and cross dressing and awkward protagonist and a hot villain. i did not know anything about final fantasy period and i still had the time of my life playing this game. i didn’t feel as if i was missing anything. i love final fantasy vii and can’t believe i get to relive this experience again.

shinji dying was actually so insane.

ALSO I LIKED TARTARUS FUCK ALL Y’ALL

how did they perfect a perfect ending???

everything has already been said about this game, but i agree— music, style, characters, gameplay, story, grinding system, map— insane. the jump from persona 4 to persona 5 is remarkable.

tartarus > mementos. best velvet room though

terrible story

my first ever game. i will replay this every few years until the day i die. best pokémon game. best gameboy game. one of the best nintendo releases. wally deserved better

the narrator is grimoire weiss in an alternate universe.

this game is hilarious and thought provoking and a downright staple in my book. i loved watching youtubers play this when i was a little girl and it felt very full circle to finally play it. never walk thru the left door!

watching my dad beat this game a few times a year just because i loved it so much is definitely on the highlight reel of my life. this game made my childhood!

i don’t think anyone could beat me at ‘93 nba jam
