It's not a deep experience but it adds up to way more than the sum of it's parts. I would not buy a playdate specifically for this, but it's an absolute slam dunk for owners of the system.

Is it perfect? No, the final language goes by fast and the last bit of backtracking feels a touch too long, but did I love it? Yes. Every single second of it.

Adults can trash talk this game all they want - it's not for them. Put a 3 year old who can't use a controller on this game and you'll see something neat happen - hand eye coordination improves, the 4 letters on the controller become part of their language and basic problem solving begins to form. I'm not saying use this game as a replacement for Kindergarten, but if you are the correct audience for this game, it's hard to beat.
