A list of tracks in games that made me think "Hey, this totally sounds like..."
Most of the music in this list is classical because that's what I listen to the most. I'll update as and when I think of stuff, and yes I'm taking suggestions too

The map preparation theme from FE Awakening (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vebrQs-keVY) features a similar main melody to that of the everyday Hogwarts theme from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2S7YmfOrlg)
Also everyone already knows this but a fuckton of the music from the Dragon Ball Z Budokai games is straight-up ripped from the band Stratovarius - most well-known example is probably Challengers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZZeOh2DL7M) from Budokai 1 sounding like Hunting High and Low (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2l8KtdQ7Ek)

Oh yeah, "N's Farewell" from Pokemon Black/White (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzKRuwKyJmY) sounds like the Mother 3 Love Theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pSe2XhlsMw), that's another pretty well-known one
Don't know if this counts because it's all basically straight-up plagiarism but there was a composer for Dragon Ball games that was stealing songs pretty much entirely, and not small-time stuff I'm talking some of the most popular rock songs and bands there are. https://youtu.be/_J028VW2Xl8
Child of Eden: https://youtu.be/sF08N5NFMww
Xenoblade: https://youtu.be/OPWseKK3XvI
Same fucking song. Absolutely crazy. Similar chord structure (not the same tho), EXACT same key, nearly same piano timbre

i'm a music student and even i can't imagine being this well-read in classical music D:
Guys, thanks for all the contributions! Got a big listening backlog too but I'll get around to all of them eventually and add them to the list.
@mellorine Don't feel too bad about that, I'm a full time musician as well as a huge nerd about it :) Feel free not to answer if you don't want to dox yourself but are you studying classical/jazz/contemporary?

The final boss theme of Eternal Senia(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVZNJe9B4gM) has a segment around the 4 minute mark that sounds almost exactly like Ridley's Theme
i'm technically in a contemporary stream! but i've taken every opportunity to make my education focused less around jazz and more around vgm, and the stuff that directly inspired vgm - including a rudimentary background in classical.
this list is heavily in-progress and doesn't entirely reflect which ones are stuff i personally like, but i think it represents my relationship with classical music to some extent, especially the list description.
