It's better than the first gameplay wise but aesthetically I feel the first game was a notch better, overall good game but nothing amazing.

Unless you're a masochist which I am not theirs's not a whole lot of fun to be had here.

This might be one of the most mid games I've ever played that for some reason gets a decent amount of praise, not sure why maybe it's because I played it years later but not a single moment of excitement to be had.

I dont know how this game has made it onto so many best metroidvanias lists, its not even terrible its just the most meh metroidvania I think I've ever played

Some potential here but god damn does the combat leave a lot to be desired. After playing Blasphemous this games flaws stood out even more and I just can't torture myself much longer with it, 4/10

This game took a little bit for me to warm up to it, except for the aesthetic and lore which felt like it was made directly for me lol. But after many hours I found myself just wanting to explore more which a good metroidvania should do. However, as an avid hater of franchises like Mega Man cause of the cheap platforming sections, and the gameplay in general leaving a lot to be desired, this game falls short of being what I'd consider great, Overall 7/10 if I take into consideration how much I like the aesthetic, but without that it's just a good game that I probably won't revisit.

Original rating for this game was a 2/10, and I never wanna give a game too much credit for coming out broken or lacking content, but they have done a good job in fixing this one and whilst I still dont see it as a masterpiece or even an amazing game I think it is now a good one. Since 2.0 I've seen very little bugs and the leveling has been improved a lot.

This game impressed the hell out of me. It's still very much early days so it's a little rough around the edges but this game is turning out to be a very good alternative to an Elder Scrolls game with a bit of a darker setting.

FFXVI is a very good game, but certain things hold it back from being a masterpiece. Combat, most of the story, music and visuals are amazing but some parts of the game feel extremely dated like the side quests and exploration in the world reminded me I don't want square to go anywhere near an open world game. A lot of the crafting in the game just kind of felt pointless as well, I found myself with plenty of coin and materials and pretty much nothing to do with any of it, overall 8/10 a return to form for mainline FF's but also a step backwards in a few ways. I wish to revise my review and drop it to a 6/10 didn't even realise this game had no Cactuar's or Tonberry's.

Ever played a game that didn't have a new game feature, me either lol

Didn't like Dark Descent at all but figured they've made a fair few games since then so maybe this one would be different, it was somehow even worse lol.

Saw heaps of potential in this game tbh, but just like most other RE clones the further you get in you start to realize it's just we have RE at home.

It's honestly one of the better attempts at making an RE clone, way better than that trash Them and Us, but still nothing that blows me away.

You have almost 30 years of Resident Evil existing where Capcom perfected survival horror on multiple occasions and these small devs continue to fail at making clones of their game, how?

The game is definitely a vibe, but as someone who didn't play it back in the day maybe I left it too late, just didn't do much for me.
