Not a bad game but for the most part just really boring.

You have almost 30 years of Resident Evil existing where Capcom perfected survival horror on multiple occasions and these small devs continue to fail at making clones of their game, how?

Finally decided to give this game a shot, I can see why people love it, do I think it's slightly overrated, sure. I don't quite see what this game does combat wise or open world wise that hadn't already been done before it, Witcher 3 hello. I just for the life of me can't put myself through a game where weapons break in 10-20 hits, 100 hits would be pushing it so this is overkill. Above Average out of 10.

This is why you don't pre order games on PC folks. But other than the optimization issues the game honestly is a pretty mid survival horror and especially on the hardest difficulty a lot of the combat is just pure cheapness, it literally has jump scare damage lol, below average.

This has to be one of the most annoying pieces of fucking trash I think I've ever forced myself to complete, how a sequel ever spawned from this filth I'll never know

What a fantastic remake. I am more of an RE2 guy so for me personally that remake did a lot more for me then this one but if you loved the original RE4 then this should be an incredible experience. One thing this game does better than any other RE is it's boss fights. If I had anything negative to say about the game it's somehow Ashley is more of an idiot in this game.

I don't know how I've spent 29 years on this planet and had Bioshock as one of my fav games of all time without knowing this was the spiritual predecessor to it. I guess the best thing is I get to experience it for the first time today, what an amazing game.

This game does a lot of things really well. One thing that hurts the game is it's level design, very boring. Especially going into it with a souls like mindset where fromsoft might have the best level design in the business today. That said, the combat is incredible. If an issue you have with fromsoft games is the combat, this is your game.

I really wanted to like this game, it has some of the best atmosphere in any game I've ever played and as a fan of survival horror this is about as survival horror as it gets. Unfortunately the game is a complete chore most of the time. At the 10 hour mark the game really just became tedious and boring. Above Average.

One of my fav metroidvania's, made even more enjoyable with all the extra modes like randomizer for example. This game gives you a lot of the good stuff from Castlevania SOTN and DOS.

I could blame how old this game is but mario existed and was way better than this trash.

Resident Evil might be my fav franchise along with Final Fantasy, but this game is absolute fuckin trash lol no wonder Capcom bailed on it.

Definately a good game, but even though as far as a rogue lite with management is a unique idea, it definately lacks the addictive gameplay of a Hades or a Binding Of Isaac. Still worth a try though.

This game controls like ass even for 2001

Great atmosphere and an interesting story. However, the gameplay is not great, thought I was losing my mind at how many times for no reason I was using military grade rounds but apparently it's easy to find others online having the same issue, and my god the crashes. Another point deducted too due to the end of the game being pretty mediocre. Overall, bit of a disappointment but at least the bar hasn't been set super high for when I eventually try Last Light.
