It's not too often a game lives up to the hype in the same way Elden Ring did. As a fan since Dark Souls 1 this really feels like FromSoft/Miyazaki all stars set in a huge, beautiful open world that nails exploration. If I had to find a complaint it would be the rehashing of bosses 3 to 4 times but other than that I had a blast and look forward to future playthroughs.

This is exactly how a remake should be done. Capcom who are currently in a bit of a golden age since the release of Resident Evil 7 have created in my opinion the best Resident Evil game to date. To really feel the fear and as much of the original as possible hardcore is definately recommended but overall this in my opinion is the number 1 go to if you want to experience survival horror at it's peak.

It's hard to find fault with this masterpiece. It's a game I have to go back to yearly for nostalgia reasons and somehow it's still a blast to play 20 something years later. I think this game is the best Final Fantasy to date and with the HD Remaster it takes the game to another level of enjoyment, 10/10, masterpiece, GOAT.

I have to be honest. I was too young to play this game when it originally released. But because of my love for survival horror games like Silent Hill and Dead Space, I had to go back and play this classic about a decade later, and boy am I glad I did. That good feeling you get playing a Resident Evil that almost makes it feel like a metroidvania, slowly unlocking shortcuts, solving puzzles. This game has it in spades. The backtracking never feels tedious, the atmosphere is amazing. Theirs not much else I can say other than you have to play this game if you're a survival horror fan. 10/10

Is it possible that the top 2 Resident Evil games are both remakes, I think so. While the original is a classic and a pioneer of the genre. It's incredible how good RE1 Remake is, it improves the game in every single way. Other than maybe hating the fixed camera angle, I can't think of a reason not to play this game if you're a survival horror/resident evil fan. 10/10

I love this game. I can't even think of anything to fault it, it's kind of just perfect. If you're a fan of metroidvania's not only is this one of the most content heavy metroidvania's out there, it's also possibly the best on an artistic and mechanical level. Team Cherry made Australia proud with this one, cannot wait for the sequel. 10/10

2017

This game does a lot of things really well. One thing that hurts the game is it's level design, very boring. Especially going into it with a souls like mindset where fromsoft might have the best level design in the business today. That said, the combat is incredible. If an issue you have with fromsoft games is the combat, this is your game.

Could be the greatest game ever made. CDProjektRed have been building up to this masterpiece since the original Witcher and each game you can see the incredible improvement they've made with each release. I played this game for about 200 hours my first playthrough and not once was I bored or regretting it. 10/10

Considering the time it was released it has quite good controls.

Tbh, I think Super Mario Bros. was a great game, this one not quite. I alot more of the mechanics to the game are frustrating and it weird to say but it almost doesnt quite feel like a Mario game.

Unlike Super Mario Bros 2, this game to me not only better but feels more like a true sequel to the original. It's a great game and I'm glad I revisited it recently.

Revisted this game for a third time and it actually made me deduct another point from it. Their is not enough Studio Ghibli in the world to make the gameplay bearable. I've just come to the realization that Level-5 and good gameplay don't mix. Average as fuck out of 10.

Better combat than Wrath Of The White Witch, but still this series leaves a bit to be desired for me

I can see why people love this game, my critical rating would be higher but my personal oppinion of the game is I was bored to tears after reading through dialogue for about 8 of my first 10 hours of playtime.

Honestly the worst thing about this game is it's controls, and in a game like this that should be it's best attribute. Everything else is pretty great.
