few games have gotten so emotionally close to me as this. i just really wish the characters we met interacted amongst themselves some more (especially wish we saw more of sabine and rabiah)

its a danganronpa game how good can it be

that aside: i love you dr2. i know shes flawed i know shes complicated but oh my god yknow. what a ride. everyone must know of komaeda. also akane owari best character of all time i dont care

yes it is a mess. no i did not for a second think less of it for this. i love you violet

takes the legacy of a complicated series and beautifully makes its own thing out of it. i'd fuck zhao.

[nonary games version] 999 is just about one of the best games i have ever played. setting, cast, puzzles, writing; everything is simply unmatched. gotta say, though: the one big qualm i have with it is the portrayal of disability (a long-running problem in uchikoshi works, i fear)

yes yes cheerful nihilism, beautiful, indomitable human spirit in the face of an uncaring universe. i love it. but we also must consider that this game delivers a political message more profound than any other title first released on ps4 and pc featuring robots trying to talk about racism ever could. there is no changing a system rigged to destroy those who dare question it "from the inside".

campy, sassy, inscrutable, over-the-top; beautiful. it's like a glimpse into a reality where kazutaka kodaka had a homosexual awakening and was surprisingly chill with it.

[nonary games version]

slow, obtuse, repetitive, unappealing, janky, the only cast members who dont suffer from absolute lack of charisma suffer instead from being doomed plot devices. i literally cannot fathom how people will like this but think ztd is too absurd or too ugly. fuck all yall.

i am utterly tired of kaname date i gotta say this. but it ain't the game's fault it's just the fanbase. moma outsold etc.

also suffers from the usual uchi problem of "man i know youre trying really hard but you still dont sound like you like disabled people im sorry". that aside it is a wonderful murder mystery with an immense amount of heart to it; if your tolerance for anime bullshit is good, sink your teeth right into it

This review contains spoilers

the way they kicked kaede's corpse in case 6 by making her death even more bullshit and unfair and yet another case in this godforsaken franchise of "girl dies for a guy's development", in a scenario where they knew each other for LITERALLY THREE FUCKING DAYS, still makes me spit blood to this day

if i think too much about v3 i make myself pissed so i'll just say that kirumi's villainous breakdown and execution were some of the best things this franchise had to offer. i love her. thats it

played on switch, completed on xone. delightful little game

stop pretending this aged well. all it has going for it is the existence of kanji tatsumi. love you baby boy im so sorry youre in this game

does a great job of building nishiki up as a character where the original apparently failed big time. canon wlw character is appreciated by me. majima everywhere is funny. i like shinji, date, and haruka.

thats enough praise for a decade i think

it was good i just had to drop it cuz i got too scared to deal with that fucking fish
