short, sweet and simple. I feel like i would hate the game if it was any different, but it's great for what it is

despite the racism, it's a really cozy game. on the surface it seems to be a lazy zelda clone, but once you get into it, it's a very charming zelda clone. the bright and cheery world and its weird enemies are a joy to look at, along with the protag who's facial expressions are just like an 80s anime, makes for a really nice experience, one definitely worth playing

the combat is kinda basic but the rhythm combo shit makes the game 1000% worth it
if a game this good is releasing in the beginning of 2023 im excited for the rest of the year ngl

schezo's theme is cooler in this one but other than that it's nothing special

the greatest fanfiction ever made

How can a game be so mindboggling, charming, terrifying, frustrating, and intriguing at the same time? I don't even know myself, but the way killer7 can be all of these things and still serve as a completely fresh experience is beyond me.

Just playing this game is an absolute joy, while also being a nightmare as well. At first, the odd control scheme can throw people off at first. I mean, how would a game where you press one button to move be interesting? But as you finish that same first chapter, it feels like second nature, and has engraved its way into your muscle memory.
The sound design is absolutely chilling as well. The Heaven Smiles have devious laughs, sounding childish, but also very creepy in a way. There were too many times where their shrieks caught me off guard, and even made me jump out of my chair sometimes. But you know what's even better than hearing the smiles?

Killing them. Never has shooting something with a gun ever felt so natural, so addicting. At many times, it feels like ecstasy. The voices of the Smiths add to this as well. For a GameCube game, the voice acting is phenomenal. Hearing classic lines like:

"This is too easy..."

"Fuck You!"

"Son of a bitch..."

"Hurts, doesn't it?"

God, it sends chills down my spine every single time.

There are way too many confusing elements in this game, and I think that adds to its overall fear factor. The story has many gripping moments that will have you baffled but also enticed, the fact that you can barely see the heaven smiles until you scan the room for them adds a nice layer of dread while moving through the buildings, the many ghosts you find throughout the game with their jumbled up speech patterns are - interesting to say the least, the visceral cel-shaded visuals that have quite a simple look to it, these all just make the game so chilling and unsettling to playthrough, but they also just add to the game's uniqueness and hook you on to its freaky vibes even more.

I could go on about this game - the story (especially near the end) is a big clusterfuck containing politics, (and it's a big shame it was never fully finished) the bosses are really awesome, there's just too much to say about it. I'm kinda sad there's no other game like this, but I'm also glad there isn't, because this is one that will definitely stick with me for a very, very long time. wow.

Although the game was way worse than I remember as a kid, I still think it's a very solid title, and is still better than the first game IMO.
Sure, the game's still littered with tedium - transformations are still useless, Mumbo barely does anything (and he's kinda bad to control in these big worlds) and the worlds definitely are too big (mostly Terrydactyland and Grunty Industries idk what they were smoking with those two), but I think the highs heavily outweigh the lows.

The worlds are so fun to explore, just the amount of sheer content in all of these is baffling, considering that this game was released on the Nintendo 64. I also love how they're all interconnected so it's (kinda) easier to travel from one world to the next.
The game's comedy is cynical and witty, a style that I definitely enjoyed, and it was funny looking over jokes that I never understood as a kid.
The controls also feel way more fluid than Banjo-Kazooie's thanks to an updated moveset. Not saying that BK's was bad, but Tooie definitely improves on the formula with a lot of tweaks that make swimming, flying, and even traversing on land way cooler.
The bosses in this game are also so cool, they're so interesting and they definitely add to the coolness of these worlds, definitely a major highlight.

I could go on about what I love and hate about this game, but overall it's a solid game that tries to one-up Kazooie in every way. In a lot of places, it does, and lot it doesn't, but despite this, this is one that I fully enjoyed, and one I would fully recommend to anyone. I'd probably give it a 10/10 if the jiggy backtracking wasn't needed so often.

game refuses to run on either emulator or actual console, I don't know why, but after the second level it just stopped.

this isn't even too interesting anyways, it takes what made the original PS2 game fun and kinda removes all the charm, making it a bland and boring action game. At least the soundtrack is decent, i guess.

this game in such a weird spot for me. it's a really bad game with ass controls, really bad voice acting that fucks up the tone of the game a lot at times, and a whole bunch of glitches that i'm not sure are from the actual game, or the emulator.
but on the other hand, the premise is really really interesting. love how you can either make the reporter(s) suffer for some good camera footage, or save them but have no footage at all. too bad I encountered a glitch somewhere near the end, where I kept clipping through the floor and I couldn't continue. it's a shame, if this game had a better dub (or no dub at all) and the game was less buggy (or the pcsx2 devs fix them) this game would definitely be up there as a goated horror game in my opinion

so glad they made this one actually good, unlike the last shinobi games.
even though it's hidden behind a code, the game is so much better with 6 buttons, as you don't have to rely on shurikens the whole game. the expanded moveset and improved controls just make this one an absolute joy to playthrough, unfortunately there are still some annoying off-screen enemy placements and the double jump still sucks, but it's a step up from whatever shadow dancer was.
a very solid title for the action genre, definitely worth checking out

i remember playing this shit on my atgames sega mega drive and thinking oh wow this game looks cool helicopterπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί
