i truly loathe this game. it introduces a lot of characters and concepts i want to love, but the direction of the game feels so wrong? it retcons a lot of cool things introduced in aa4, and completely wipes the character development of a lot of key returning characters. they completely massacred apollo!!! many of the cases are boring and it was a brave decision to focus the emotional weight of the story on your new character that you gave zero development & meaningful screen time to. i bought the dlc cases for this game before i played anything and i couldn't even bring myself to play those.

i'm gonna be honest. i starting playing this game for revali. cried out of frustration a few times but i finished all the shrines, divine beasts, quests, and compendium.

i think its very funny that i completed this one. unironically a very fun game for the gamers who enjoy flash dress up games. my demographic. bratz rule. girls rule.

love a game where i can get a couple of drinks with the bros. weird how there were block puzzles trying to murder me in between all the hangout sections tho lol?
if atlus weren't homophobic this would have a jonny route

for the way imagine games tend to go, this one had cool art, actual characters, and an engaging story. i made some showstopping outfits when i was a kid

it was fun!! it has all the quality life features i would've expected of a picross game in 2024, although i had some really janky controller issues during bigger puzzles that made them difficult to play. initially, i thought it was joycon drift, but it happened so frequently i think it was the game itself. the sound mixing is also kind of horrendous. there are sliders to adjust music vs sound effects, but some songs play much louder than others causing me to constantly have to adjust the volume on my TV so certain songs wouldn't blare (the summer theme....)
my main complaint is i wish there were more puzzles!! i don't think every character needed a puzzle, but i was super let down that there weren't ANY puzzles for the first Story of Seasons cast :( where was my Fritz puzzle

it was fine. i vastly preferred botw's attempt at this formula though (even if it's considered weaker mechanically). it also didn't really feel like a sequel to botw besides sharing the same map and characters?
i will say that the final boss of this game was much better than the final boss of botw. really cool sequence

even if the translation is terrible and there's overall less writing and content here compared to the older games this is my favorite bokujo monogatari game ever.
got the 50 note, 100 note, and jamie endings

aa6 is a game.
the pacing is downright awful compared to previous entries (including aa5). however, i will say that the highs of aa6 are much much higher than any positives i found in aa5. which is something. i still dislike the game, but it gave me 6-2 and 6-4 which i would genuinely replay. i dislike a lot of the new characters in this game, the new location is way out there and feels way too racially charged (in naming conventions lol), and did not like the implications of the conclusion. any character included from a previous aa game has like zero development (its been years since we've seen maya in a game and they write her the exact same way!!)
wanted to murder nahyuta multiple times.

i loved a lot of the characters and the town, and i think the intent behind the story and how it was meant to progress was well-done. it has that charm that all the 3ds-era bokumono games have. and i married neil, the funniest bachelor in this game.
yet, i feel like so much of my gameplay was spent waiting very long periods of time (sometimes full seasons!!) for things to occur so i could unlock new content and missions to progress the game's story. i would never replay this one and its definitely not my favorite in the series, but i'm glad i got to experience it despite its glaring flaws in pacing and gameplay.

true xenoblade fans know the crunch is what makes wiinoblade superior

i love this game so much. adore the characters, their motivations, and how the story unfolds. the music and visuals are hauntingly beautiful and i enjoy the DS-era gimmicks. i want to rotate this game around in my mind.

This review contains spoilers

i feel like they wrote the big twist for this game first and then arranged the rest of the story around it. the timeskip twist was interesting, but i think it was detrimental to the story and characters because they all had to be manipulated around it to confuse the player.
the main story felt too ambitious, returning characters were shells of what they used to be (and often lost character development), mizuki's overall storyline was muddied from aitsf, and a lot of the somniums sucked! how do you mess that up.
this was like the biggest game of the year for me and it left me feeling so disappointed.

not my style savvy game of choice but i did enjoy this!! the contests were more difficult than the original game (which i appreciated), and i liked all the new main cast. may have cried when certain guest characters popped up lol. there's a lot of extraneous content in this game though like furniture and fortunes that i couldn't be bothered with. and it felt so anticlimactic to win all the international contests, like we should celebrate that but it just goes to the next day!! also lots of repetitive dialogue...

really solid bokumono game. the characters and town are very distinct, loved the music and land betting gameplay too. unfortunately money in this game seems pretty hard to come by (golden flax method ftw) and materials are insanely grindy??? i was literally not able to have twins because it is impossible to get rarer materials in this game without insane save-scumming. this would be a 4.5 for me if the rates weren't extremely low. married fritz the love of my life
