I actually preferred the first Class of '09 to Re-Up unfortunately. The characterization of the first game seems flanderized in the sequel in a way that makes it more difficult to appreciate. Nicole was a very flawed protagonist in the original game but I still rooted for her throughout. The absurdity of the sequel and her terrible actions in it felt ramped up in an unnatural way and just didn't feel as entertaining to me as a result.

Was a drag at first, but eventually got quite immersed/invested in the story. Strong ending. Excited to play 7 Remake and see what happens next.

Thought provoking, occasionally disturbing, harrowingly sweet. A fun short romp

Very enjoyable throughout. Some thought provoking content, fun combat and satisfying movement, excellent immersive soundtrack. Not crazy about hacking

Was nice to revisit this trilogy in higher resolution. While I do not agree with some of the decisions they made with Phoenix's story moving forward from the modern trilogy, it is a good package and I am satisfied with how they rereleased games 4 through 6 of the series. This is definitely the definitive way to play AJ through SoJ.

Not gonna rate it because I do believe that it is evidently a good game. But it did not jive with me at all. I was expecting the game to be more about its title but it instead ended up being a sort of collectathon.

I never thought Persona 3 Reload would be able to surpass the excellence that was P4 Golden and P5 Royal. I truly believe those to be all time great videogames and I have precious memories playing through those two games.

I think Reload really hit me in the heart with its overall themes, message, and idea. The idea of death and how we face it, the loss of loved ones, and the struggle to find meaning in these short fragile lives. It seems silly to say that a remake of an old JRPG game could really be quite touching and insightful but I genuinely appreciated and was in love with the game and its characters and what was at stake for each and every one of them.

I definitely believe that 4 and 5 do certain things better than Reload and each entry has its own unique strengths and weaknesses. I didn’t love Tartarus, the pacing was sporadic at times, and in the second half, I found myself using the bed more often than I would have expected. But despite these complaints, I just found Reload very meaningful and enjoyable. While these flaws are definitely noticeable, they did not detract from what I took away from the game. Characters like Akinari, Aigis, and Koromaru are now some of my new favorites in the series. Even characters like Junpei who I had considerable disdain towards at the beginning of the game really grew on me by the end. I really enjoyed his relationship with the main character and his willingness to provide friction, something you don’t necessarily see in 4 and 5. Ken was another character I was skeptical about, but Reload does a fantastic job at showing you the lives these characters have lived and the future they are looking towards and it is beautiful.

As someone who has now played the three “main Persona games,” Golden, Royal, and now Reload in that order, I just want to say that it was a thoroughly enjoyable and enriching experience. All three of these games are some of my all time favorites and I’m sure I would revisit them in the future. I don’t know when Persona 6 will happen but I know I will be right there for when it comes out.

My intro to the Tales series.
+Gorgeous presentation and visuals. Can't say enough good things about the art style.
+Combat feels fluid and generally satisfying. Skill animations are a visual treat
+I liked the character moments through skits, scenes, all the cute dialogue in battle and just exploring the overworld

-Writing was not all there. The second half of the game feels much weaker than the first half, and it feels like what the game was building up and the themes it was about get tossed out the window.
-Some of the dialogue was painful, I won't lie
-The way the ending is resolved.. Nothing more to say.

Still had plenty of fun overall. Was a good time with Shonen Anime the JRPG

Fun if slightly contrived story with a memorable cast. Probably best not to think too deeply about the plot as a whole.

Only the real ones remember

Very mediocre spin off. All the dialogue is basically the same thing.
100% completion is very easy. You can skip the mini games after getting two hearts of differing colors. So you only have to go through 10/25 before being able to skip.

50/50 Achievements. Arguably the peak of the franchise.
Yumi Best Girl.
Rin finisher best for killing large mobs.
Stage 1-3 recommended for the combined aerial rave, use Asuka's hold skill to launch and then quickly press to get the achievement.
Every other achievement very straightforward/not difficult.

Terrible and outdated gameplay, funny writing and flavor text. Likely a necessary play for anyone who wants to get invested into the series. I can't comment too much on this yet as I am still playing through it.
Tips for completionists
LVLs 21 to 30, go grind the flame monsters in the map with the tower east to the mansion. It takes a long time because they have high evasion, but it is good for both gold/XP and to raise your base stats. You can run from fights for free and spam find monster. Buy plenty of the full heal medicine from the drug store while you do this until you get to level 30 or 31.
From 30 to 40, you can grind the Little Runaways. They give 2000 XP and will bridge you to level 40, which is the requirement for a certain scene with a character. Keep in mind, you can rest after every fight since you will be spamming your high DMG atk.

Peak of the franchise for me.

Compared to later 3D installments that have the traditional level select + map structure, this game is a remake of the original Super Star, an anthology of minigames. But the feeling evoked from playing Kirby + the frankly amazing soundtrack (shoutout to Super Star Ultra's file select theme, one that can make me tear up in nostalgia even now) is unparalleled by any other entries in the series for me personally. One of the first games I 100%d, a fairly frustrating task at times (looking at you, True Arena)
