Mario Wonder is an absolute joy, and the most fun I've had with a "2D" Mario title since Super Mario World. The final level challenges are an incredibly fun time, I just wish there was a bit more complexity scattered throughout.

Against all odds, this is the most fun multiplayer mode Nintendo has made in a long time, and it just works? Like, really well?

Turn Mario into a Strand game, who knew?

A large part of me wants to give this game five stars. The overall writing and story direction, especially Jill's storyline, means it gets four. Incredible combat, set pieces, and voice acting throughout.

Shocked by how good this game is. Continues to expand on its ideas and introduce new mechanics and set pieces through to the very end. Doesn't overstay its welcome at all.

If Microsoft knows what they have here, they're greenlighting any and all Hi-Fi Rush sequels Tango wants to make.

Gets bumped up an extra star for some very cool puzzles in the last hour once they finally incorporate all of the resource management stuff.

Overall, though, it's too much of a breeze. There's not much to the puzzles, and the big draw here is a clean and otherworldly artstyle.

Abandon Reason: Walking to a boss for 15sec, then getting one shot is not fun.

Abandon Reason: The game unfortunately did not respect my time with a lot of long death runs and a lot of backtracking. As well as some very clumsy gameplay/controls.

Abandon Reason: With a roguelike, you want your runs to be fairly short. Unfortunately it took almost 6 hours to get to the final boss, only to realise my cards were absolutely useless.

Frantic energy in a rogue lite, think binding of isaac or enter the gungeon. I love the roaming boss battles and the level design. The weapons are just silly in the best way.

Fantastic execution. Deceptively crunchy mechanics for an ad lib choose your own adventure game.

I love the themes, the story, and I thought the gameplay was a$$. Kept me going though - even when the final act dragged.

An amazing story, I actually wish it was maybe 2 chapters longer to glean more story from the characters as well as a pretty fun experience with the game.

This fun game has a lot going for it, definitely including a fun farming loop. But I love when the game breaks it all up with different mechanics once in a while. Overall, a really fun podcast game, with a lot of style. However, I do think that about halfway through, there's just so much to do that I can see it being overwhelming for others.

Amazing game for the vibes, okay in the combat, but a fun menu loop. Did I mention this is an amazing vibes game?

Alan Wake 2 is the largest swing yet from Remedy, and it clicked on every level for me. Have not stopped listening to the soundtrack, either.
