The learning curve is harsh. Very fun though. The events in level 3 are really funny.

The aesthetic design of this game is nothing short of brilliant. It's a fun, if somewhat basic, rpg otherwise, but that in itself is part of the theme it's going for. Might not be for everyone because of that, but as someone who loves both tabletop RPGs and classic JRPGs this was a real hit for me.

I'm more hard on it than I should be because it came out after one of the best Kirby games in ages but it's a real disappointment after Robot Planet (Planet Robobot). It just feels barren by comparison.

If you have any interest in sci-fi at all, you have to play this.

Good story, fun cast and good production values but ultimately it's still a mobile rpg.

Without giving too much away, it has a very daring storyline and cast of characters. They feel very real and flawed in ways that a lot of media won't really touch. It really felt like what I wanted out of a certain other JRPG I won't name. Well worth it if you can get past the Vita jank. I'd also like to point out the incredible voice work.

I was completely expecting to be a contrarian but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit.

It's more direct than the first one, and skips a good amount of the bloat. For instance, the open world is gone and it has shorter stages, resulting in getting to the action quicker. But it doesn't hit the same highs, so it pretty much comes down to patience and payoff vs instant gratification by comparison. Still had a good time with it, it never bored me and some of the later ranked fights were close to as good as some from the first.

It soothed my craving for a childhood friend gf insanely well. The way they had the scenes from the past play into her story was amazing. In general it improves on the already great mechanics and visuals of the previous game, for an overall even better experience. My only complaint is that there seemed to be a lack of actual scenes on walks home, but there were more than enough events to make up for that overall.

Not quite as good as Ginga Force but it's still pretty great. The story ties back to it in some interesting ways, although I wish the fight that was reversed from Ginga Force was more fun since that was such a cool and exciting concept. That said, I clapped when they played the song.

I think the ending gave me schizophrenia.
