The difference between 'no story event hints' and 'story event hints' is too extreme. I need little nudges to doing the silly things, not map markers.

Otherwise i fuckin loved this game.

This game scared the shit out of me, absolutely excellent. Half a star removed because I don't think I could have beaten the game without the guide i was reading.

This game is fantastic, but I think I may have ruined my experience with my pre-concieved notions of the focus of the game. I assumed, based on the gravity gun, and the focus on 'physics', that there'd be more physics puzzles. Instead, I spent 15 minutes stacking boxes to get over a wall like a dummy.

An absolute joy to experience for the first time. :V)

(This game was doomed to fail the second they decided to go for dozens of unique costumes with a one-button control scheme. It feels terrible.)

I adore this game's atmosphere. The audio design is lovely, the graphics are very well done and memorable (a feat, considering how oversaturated the vaporwave aesthetic was at the time of release), and the mechanics of the tools are enjoyable to mess with (if sometimes clunky). The only level I did not enjoy playing so much during both my playthroughs was Innernet. I'm looking forward to the sequel game, and hoping it is able to capitalize on and improve what's great about Broken Reality.

An absolutely gorgeous game, visually and audibly. Some of the most beautiful character-driven animation work featuring the Mario characters. Playing casually, the game feels like it ends rather soon, and, while I love the sense-feel of slamming ghouls around, it definitely makes most of the game trivially easy.
