im probably not qualified to rate this since i used a guide because i cannot deal with cryptic nes bullshit but it was like okayish for what it is and what it is is an extremely barebones clunky directionless game with annoying enemy and boss design (fuck you mother brain) but i didnt hate playing it entirely (a guide and save states definitely remedied that tho lol) so yeah ok game with the stipulation that you use all the tools possible to circumvent the game being not very good (this rating means fucking nothing otherwise then)

i mean what can i say its just megaman x but with new graphics new music new voice acting which is all fine and dandy but they changed the upgrade locations for some reason which makes it require marginally more backtracking and also generally doesnt feel as fast and fluid
its still megaman x so i still loved playing it but more as a cool alternative version rather than a definitive remake, because at the end of the day give me the snes version in a heartbeat
day of sigma still dope as hell tho

this game is somehow almost as bad as x6 for completely different reasons instead of being needlessly frustrating and having abysmal level design but still feeling like a megaman x game everything is a boring slog that takes forever to get through and doesnt even feel good to play
its only better than x6 because it didnt make me want to punch someone its just fucking lame

the best video game adaptation of gurren lagann
weird learning curve but becomes immensely satisfying once you get the hang of it
can be really frustrating sometimes with changing gameplay styles and confusing enemy design and weird choices that make me want to bash my skull against a wall but this game has charm and soul and passion all throughout it and is absolutely worth playing if you enjoy platinum games all
