why this is so much better than the first one:
- you will not want to gouge your eyes out after every line of dialogue
- choices actually matter (even little tiny things, relationships are very important to the ending), tangible sacrifices are made
- not nearly as predictable
- it just... looks better (mouth mapping still sucks though)
- script is SO MUCH BETTER, characters actually make sense and talk like human beings, voice acting is really good
- characters were much easier to empathize with while having flaws, threats in the story much more tangible than time travel being able to fix every possible issue
- lovely relationships, family/love/friendships all feel very real
- the aspect of moving all over the place brought lots of new environments, beautiful scenes in nature

my main gripe:
- most villains very one-sided, face value (except Lisbeth and her group were more interesting)

if this is propaganda what is COD doing with reagan's penis in their mouth?

I wrote an email to Lego support because I was so distraught over this game shutting down. I still have this email on file somewhere, I pleaded that they open it again because it was my favorite game, and I offered my username to show how much I loved it: YoungVandaDarkflameIsAwe (there was a character limit). I remember the insanity of the free jetpacks handed out the last day. Goddammit Lego, bring it back, I'll tell my psychiatrist this will cure my depression once and for all

every shooter simply wishes that they could attempt to match a game that came out in 2007... ouch

Is this a good place to put this? Maybe. Hear me out: Dead Money is the plot of Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). The Dip is the equivalent to The Cloud, Roger Rabbit is Frederick Sinclair, Jessica Rabbit is Vera Keyes, Marvin Acme is Dean Domino. Similar aesthetics. Both stories follow a scandal involving adultery/a love triangle. Vera and Jessica Rabbit are both famous for being beautiful performers, and Sinclair/Roger are both in love with them (somewhat foolishly). Dean/Acme are both the threat, with Dean controlling Vera's actions and breaking her and Acme being part of the adultery scandal that threatens Jessica's validity. Although Roger Rabbit doesn't have nuclear fallout, the comparisons can be with the cloud and the dip. The Dip is questionable in legality and used to eliminate toons, but the only people who know about how terrible it is are toons. The Cloud is an experiment performed by Big Mountain scientists that is designed to be harmful, but the workers at the Sierra Madre who are exposed to it don't understand the effects of it (similar to how Roger Rabbit in his stupidity isn't sure what's going on for a while).
Anyways this is fantastic duh

MOST IMPORTANT POINT TO EMPHASIZE:
you absolutely need friends to play this game with and preferably very laid-back friends. I stopped playing it as frequently because I lost my group and was forced to solo queue with the absolute toxic insanity. if you do it like that you will want to garotte yourself.
otherwise, developers listen to feedback and make changes that actually balance the game pretty frequently. player skill outweighs operator abilities as long as not a shield operator. in-game purchases are cosmetics or quick-levelers, nothing changes gameplay.

giving the aesthetic of this game to an 8-year-old is why I am the way I am I think

oh man when this came out my tumblr was filled with sam drake and rafe adler gifsets. fuck this game

2018

brainless looter-shooter. wish there was more of a challenge than enemies with infinite health bars. but of course the combat mechanics are lovely. grading all of this relative to it being an MMO bumps it up in quality

I worship this game over any diety. Playing New Vegas for the first time when I was 11 utterly, absolutely changed my life and the way I would look at every other game to follow. Still play it again in full at least once a year and learning the speedrun. Please chat me up about lore.

eh, disappointing, weird dialogue

Absolutely stellar characters, setting, humor, and everything. The puzzles will drive you mad, but they're so rewarding to complete if you don't throw your PC out the window. Ingenious and surrealist art honestly.
