A masterpiece, and very nostalgic for me. Exquisite style, tone, and restraint. Funny how I still get stuck in many of the same places after a half-dozen playthroughs.

An unexpected and very appreciated end to my Metroid endeavor. Built upon a lot of what I liked in Samus Returns. Clever level design, yet also at times felt a bit drab. Super solid, but not a standout in the series.

Ok, I get the FS hype now. Punishing, gratifying, addictive. Remake looks gorgeous.

Funky game. Clever mechanics wrapped in a generic COD setting. Don't plan on returning to it soon but glad it's around.

Way more of a nostalgia trip than I expected it to be. This was my DOOM

Played for half an hour, didn't understand it, thought I would abandon it. Gave it another shot, and it clicked in a big big way. I adore this game. My only regret is looking up a hint on the very last puzzle, which was silly of me.

Perfects the formula, but graphically hasn't aged as well as I would have expected. Character models look terrifying. Some of the story and themes feel less nice revisiting in 2022. AI is still lacking compared to modern expectations. But clever game design and a good time.

Loved seeing a remastered version for xbox, after looking at some other frustrating options. Good improvements to the first, some nice graphical flexes, but some bizarre edgelord material that would fit in better in the Hitman universe

They nailed some of the series formula right off the bat, and the lighting/shadows system holds up great. Great casting. But some player controls feel off, and the level quality, while sometimes extremely high, isn't always consistent.

Gorgeous, thoughtful, inventive, funny. Everything I wanted in a followup

Oculus experience is dramatically better than the PSVR version. I think the environments are stunning but the game itself is only so-so. Wish I could just make people experience 2 minutes of being in these settings without the uncomfortable controls and simple puzzles

One of my favorite games as a kid. It holds up surprisingly well, especially aesthetics and writing. Definitely some frustrating platforming and a punishing final level, but I still really enjoyed this replay.

Best VR game in existence and a worthy followup in the HL franchise

Inventive, exciting, wish there was more!

True to memes, my playthrough was unacceptably buggy. But I found the story captivating and it looks pretty great. Wish it hadn't tried so hard to be open world, I feel like there was a linear game here at its core.
