Probably the best zombie game yet.

Cool graphics, settings and immersion. Relatively fun gameplay. Lackluster and predictable story from start to finish. No replayability value. Repetitive and old-fashioned "find collectibles" quests all around.

Rather primitive in hindsight, but I still marveled at what people were able to do with the limitations back then.

LittleBigPlanet was a system seller for me. I played it over a friends house one time and that's all it took, I wanted a PS3 after that. LBP is just pure unfiltered fun both in single player, and with a group of friends, and remains so to this day.

Exciting & Exhausting. And one couldn't exist without the other. The whole premise of the game is that everything is terrible. Everything's out to get you, you're running out of resources at every turn, and you don't know where you're actually going. It works beautifully, forcing you to consider every decision and make terrible sacrifices just to get by. The feeling of finally figuring something out and progressing by basically getting one over on the game is simply immaculate. Everything from the (very triggering) graphics, to the music, to the lore, fits the theme and creates a heavy, yet alluring atmosphere. I personally hate gore and horrors, but thanks to this atmosphere I stuck with the game all the way (didn't get the best ending though). The main characters have just enough personality for you to like them and make up your own silly little headcannons about them. The game was made by a single person and you can certainly feel that at times due to bugs and such, but the attention to detail really makes up for it. The... plot? lore? is quite subtle, which is probably good but I'm not a fan of generally. The way this game is structured also made me miss quite a few things, which I wouldn't have been able to appreciate without the wiki. In general, this game is great and innovative as hell, but it FEELS to me as though it could've been even more.

This is a free game on Steam that was made in RPGMaker. The entire allure of it is that you have to walk around a dreamscape (or nightmare-scape) to collect effects that allow Madotsuki to change how she interacts with certain things within the worlds inside of her dreams. It's a very fun game and a very artistic game that has a cult following related to the various dreams and how they may or may not apply to certain things within her own life. The developer of this game is intentionally very secretive which may add to the allure of what this game is saying, if anything.
This is a very surreal game but it does essentially equate to a walking simulator that you can interact with minimally with things. I think for me to rate this higher, I would have liked to see more events/interactions and maybe a bit more symbolism for plot points. Subjectively I would rate this higher, but I can't ignore the fact that objectively it is a very passive game and many of the effects simply do nothing worthwhile.

neat concept with a cute art style but MAN it can be a slog to get through sometimes. i think a reboot or spiritual successor of some kind that makes the gameplay feel less linear and repetitive and also gives the characters more personality and interactions would be really cool though

Where all my goo balls at?

I love this silly little game so fricking much. Probably my favorite physics based puzzle game ever!
