PLEASE tales game please make a game with a good story that doesnt make me want to go on my phone every time a cutscene plays

This game hits a lot of marks that it needs to for a souls-like game. It has it's own unique charm despite the millennial-ahh humor. Combat, customization, and exploration are satisfying and original in their own right that makes the game feel not boring. The environment is really cool even though it feels like some artists on the aggro crab team just wanted to come up with as many ocean puns as they could. Regardless, there's still a lot of BS that come from bugs that are like "okay they just didn't test this part enough I guess." I also suffered the "where the FUCK do I go" sickness for a bit with this game. If you're a fan of souls-like games, then this game is worth getting. Otherwise, it's nothing amazing.

The combat is kind of clunky. ON MY MAMA, if they added animation cancelling/buffering and added better frame data so you could do moves more fluidly, this would be a much more amazing game. For example, there's the classic soulslike light and strong attack you can do by respectively tapping or holding RB. It's REALLY hard to chain the light attack into strong attack, as once you're in the 4 hit light attack combo, you HAVE to stand still for a second to be able to use your strong attack. You can't combo light attacks into strong attacks when you want like two light attacks then one strong attack, (tap tap then hold) you just keep light attacking despite the inputs. This REALLY makes combat feel bad.

This game made me realize how fun fast mobility and souls-like combat could be, but they don't really push the idea far. They need to make a sequel with mario odyssey-like movement options and tighter controls and make the game based around that and they have a 10/10 game on their hands.

we get one ascended rogue-like a year. this is it for 2024. game will ruin lives once mobile version is out

2024 and its still the best tower defense game somehow even with shitty ass microtransactions

2020

How are you gonna get a perfect game in terms of gameplay, characters, art, story, mechanics, endgame content, voice acting, music, and then dip

if god is the binding of isaac then slay the spire is Jesus Christ

REALLY good gameplay loop. it kind of got stale as upgrades start to get a bit grindy in the mid-late game. Really cool pixel art. Really surprised that something good came out of Nexon.

What do you mean they made a furry borderlands roguelike in China?

Some characters are more broken than others, but its still fun to rip an OP build or just figure one out as you go. There's a lot of different modes in this game, so if you were looking for a bang for you buck type of game this is one of them.

The only game where RPing is actually fun. This game is honestly 5/5 for what it is. It's kind of overwhelming at first glance, but once you start to get the hang of things it quickly becomes one of those "alright let me do this one thing" and suddenly the clock says 5 AM. This game is just RTS macro management gameplay, but every aspect that you have to manage is actually fun.

Paradox honestly just needs to add some DLC to the base game while releasing more. There are some base game elements that are straight trash and if you want to play this game in multiplayer, they're pretty much required. Also, there's been a known problem that hasn't been fixed for a while. Getting to late-game always lags the FUCK out of people and there's not really any response on fixing it.

Honestly someone just needs to remake the original Spore and then have it progress into this game to make the best sci-fi game of all time.

It's a fun gameplay loop but it gets tiring pretty quickly. Compared to stuff like vampire survivors it's a lot less intense IMO, but the farming stuff kind of gets annoying.

trash in every single way in terms of game elements but youll always stay in my heart for nostalgia reasons

Back in the 2000s some people were imagining how good things would be in the future. Some people hoped we would get robot servants, flying cars, but we didn't get those.

Some other people hoped that we would get a PERFECT Dungeons & Dragons video game where you could control your characters exactly how you would want them to like you would in your head in a perfectly meshed environment where characters and monsters come to life and you're able to interact with all of this in any way your wildest dreams can imagine. Whoever those people are, you need to dream me getting a million dollars.

Honestly its one of the better co-op roguelikes out there it's just kind of slow-paced for me to suck any fun out of the game.

She battle on my block in the theater. CO OP > SOLO ALL DAY

would toss my friends into traps and be reminded of golden days of newgrounds again out of 10
