Fantastic. Some of the most fun I've ever had playing a video game.
The combat feels unlike anything else and its steep learning curve contributes to the feeling of satisfaction achieved from mastering it. The level design is also something that deserves praise here, though not insanely intricate, each of the 5 levels offer something completely unique in their design and you're always incentivised to revisit levels you've already beaten to unlock new secrets using items found in later levels.
The ageing up mechanic works insanely well too, though initially annoying with just how strong the enemies are, it eventually one me over as I constantly found myself trying to beat the age counter and progress through the game as young as I possibly could.
Unfortunately, the game's difficulty can feel cheap at times, putting you in situations with large mobs of enemies who attack at once, options for crowd control are present but can't combat the amount of damage you take in these sections which is insanely ultimately frustrating as there's no possible way to avoid this damage.
All in all though, I loved my time with this game. I beat it twice in two weeks and have replayed all the levels multiple times without ever getting bored. This game needs DLC ASAP. A strong GOTY contender
