It's baffling to me that one guy was able to top Sonic Team when it comes to making a high-speed platformer. This is the level I expect new Sonic games to stand on. I don't think it's a particularly unrealistic standard. An absolutely fantastic game. And runs like a dream on the Deck.

This game is really not easy to come back to. Really tedious and janky. I acknowledge it's massive influence on gaming as a whole and appreciate it for what it is, but I really did not like my short time with this one. It's the first GTA I got to play for a longer time and let's just say I expect something more from the next entries.

Seriously though, what a game. Unlike any other. So much player freedom. Such a great story. I would say it's prophetic, but I'm starting to think all this bullshit was brewing up over 20 years ago and we're just now seeing the effects. This is my favourite version of a cyberpunk setting. It's unique, it's believable, it's screwed up. The gameplay is nothing to scoff at. It's all so engaging, I found myself getting lost in the experience all the time.
Just go and play it.

There may be better Sonic games (3&K), but Generations will always hold a special place in my heart. Its the game that got me into Sonic in the first place, one of the first games I have ever dreamed of having. Endlessly replayable and just pure fun.
A captivating masterpiece. It really does feel like a piece of art, a true work of passion from Takumi.
An amazingly thought out masterpiece of a trilogy, only matched by two other games made by the same guy. Takumi is a freaking genius. The half-star docked off is caused by its lack of replayability - it is truly a game you can fully experience only once.

Minecraft is my favourite game of all time, but not because of what it actually is. It's not the BEST game. But it is an extremely important piece of my life. It's impact on me as a person is hard to put into a short review. And, quite frankly, I really don't want to do that.
...also, its full potential is truly shown by mods. What the community is able to achieve with this thing is incredible.
