A great game. While I don't love it as much as the sequel, that doesn't undermine the fact about how iconic this game is. One of the only games I would show to someone who has never played games before. My favorite part of the game is probably the atmosphere. It reminds me of the movie "Cube", where you're in a strange unknown location with a lot of technology, and death seems to be around every corner. Listen to the song "Self Esteem Fund" from the OST, it really nails the atmosphere of the place.

My second favorite game of all time. It was when I first beat the game and it still is to this day. I absolutely love and adore everything this game is and has to offer. The puzzles are great and they had me stumped for a long time. The characters are amazing and their dialogue is hilarious. The world and lore are interesting as hell and I wanted to know more as I played. There's an entire co-op with completely unique tests that's almost as long as the main campaign, and I had just as, if not more fun with it. The OST is really good too. There's an entire workshop FILLED with unique tests and stories that basically provide infinite gameplay. I have played through this game many, many times in the past, and I can say that it is my favorite game. It's in my opinion that this game is a masterpiece, and I love it to death.

...though it does have one flaw. It throws away the unsettling and unnatural atmosphere from the first game for a much more lighthearted one. However, I do not mind this at all, as what we got in return was really good too.

Note that this review is from my time playing from late 2016 to late 2017, and it is likely very outdated now. I'm also writing this 3 years later, so my memories may not be perfect.

Overwatch is one of the only multiplayer shooters to really grab me. I've tried out many before, however it was the only one that got me hooked for hundreds of hours. The game is fun, however the fact that I played with friends was honestly the only reason I played it so much. One thing I really like is the character variety. When I played, there was about 25 or so characters to play with 4 or so being added during my time playing. All the characters felt unique and most were fair. They all fit into different situations and had strengths and weaknesses. There were also a lot of major changes to the characters, some that I liked and some that I disliked. The map variety is great, and I can't really name a map that I hated, though I obviously preferred some over the others. I also loved a lot of the updates, especially custom games. These got more advanced later on, but early into it's life it was simple so you could really only make simple games, and while it wasn't that great, it was charming and I had some of the most fun I've had in this game just fucking around in dumbass custom games. The game did have a fair share of problems too. The most major one I would say is lootboxes. While you could get them naturally by leveling up or playing in the arcade, it eventually became a drag overtime and it took forever to get one. Another thing I disliked are the character changes. A lot of them felt geared towards the competitive scene rather than casual, leading to the game overtime feeling less like a game I could sit back and have some fun with friends on to a game where I had to focus hard to win. Overall, the game was great, but it got less enjoyable overtime, to the point where I have zero motivation to go and play the game again, even with friends.

Great game but I have to give it a 60% due to the "complete it later" mentality it had. If all the content it currently has was there upon release, then I would give it a high 70%.

Note: played on PS4 on the HD 1.5 remix version of this game. Didn't want to clump 3 reviews into one.

On my first playthrough of this game back in 2019, I thought thought this game was fine. It wasn't the best in the series but not the worst. A lot of fun but a lot of problems.

In December 2020, I decided to replay it (and the other numbered KH titles) as I wanted to complete all of the content and bosses that I had missed, while also playing on a harder difficulty. However, rather unexpectedly, I came out of this game debating whether or not it was my favorite KH game or not.

The combat isn't by any means perfect but it's fun and feels a lot more impactful when you land hits on enemies. The worlds were surprisingly fun to revisit and explore every nook and cranny of. The bosses are great (mostly) and Sephiroth in particular was a great challenge (and way better than the KH2 fight). The synthesis side quest was surprisingly fun, and despite taking me the same length of the main game to complete it, I had a blast doing it. However I don't think I'd ever want to grind for it again.

Also one small thing I should mention, this game has a strange nostalgic aura. As I said, I played this for the first time back in 2019, yet one year later it feels nostalgic to play, which doesn't apply to any of the other KH games. Hell, even when I first played it I got this feeling. Not sure how to describe it.

Overall, a really great game. It's a game that I'd say needs to be fully experienced on the hardest difficulty to be appreciated, and if you can get past the old clunkiness of the 2002 era, this game is a gem.

This game gets a shit ton a flack from the community, which I can understand as it's very jarring after the great combat of KH1, however I think there's a lot to love in this game that people don't recognize.

I didn't expect to enjoy it at first, and honestly I didn't for a bit, but I started to learn the combat and had fun with it. The card system is really fun once you delve into it, and it's fun to pit your cards against your opponent, setting up crazy moves to obliterate them.

However, as I usually do for whatever reason, I played this game very wrong and didn't get a single special move, or whatever they're called. This made the game almost near impossible, and I almost gave up at the Vexen fight. However, I learned just how powerful they were, grinded for a bit, and came back and slaughtered him.

Overall, it was a fun experience. I don't think the Riku story was necessary, dragged out the game way longer than it needed to be, and I also barely remember it.

Note: played on PS4 on the 2.5 HD remix collection.

When I first played this game back in 2019, I thought it was a really good game and a noticable step up from KH1. Improved combat, better bosses, and just overall more fun to play.

However, upon my replay of the game in December 2020 (so that I could experience all the missed content on a harder difficulty), my overall feeling of a really good game stayed, but the reasons changed a lot. This happened because I discovered both things good and bad at the game, which causes my feelings to basically stay at the same level as before.

First off, I grew a much bigger appreciation for the combat. While I did this on Proud and not Critical, I still had a blast with the combat system. Honestly, the superbosses were so so to me, however I will say that Lingering Will was incredible and my favorite superboss, not just the series, but of all time. Took me nearly 4 hours but I was able to overcome him by just learning how he played and taking advantage of his weaknesses, no cheese. The synthesis sidequest, while not as fun as the first, was a lot quicker this time around, and so would probably be easier to replay.

There were a few things this time that made my experience worse. For one, the world design is awful in this game. Just in general the Disney shit is bad and uninteresting in this game, and the flat, linear worlds don't help at all. Pride Lands and Halloween Town are especially guilty of this, as they're literally just hallways with one or two side rooms, usually for a boss. I can forgive this though since the combat was enough to make it up for me.

Also, I wasn't a huge fan of the data org. I had some fun with a few fights, like Roxas or Xemnas, but most of the fights were annoying and felt like a chore. Also, the Sephiroth fight is a very noticeable step down from his KH1 fight. He's a lot more boring and easier, I only died a few times to him.

Overall, still a really great game, but with a lot of flaws that shouldn't go overlooked. I can 100% understand why this game is so beloved.

When I first played this game back in 2019, I thought it was by far the best KH game. The thing that I liked most about it was just how fun it felt to play. None of the KH games gave me enjoyment quite like this one, and it was the only one I tried fully completing and tried a replay right after I beat it, but I decided to wait.

However in Janurary 2021, I decided to replay the game, and for some reason I just didn't have as much fun as I was hoping. Hell, I found myself bored sometimes, which was very strange to me. Now, this could possibly be because I played the game after my two playthroughs of KH1 and KH2 just before this, which combined added up to 100 hours, but even then I also played this game last after beating like 6 games and still had a blast with it.

I think the combat is still pretty good, and pretty close to KH2. The bosses were fun as well, and the superbosses are some of the best in the series. However, the new data org, while really good fights, exhausted me. Each is basically a mini Lingering Will, taking an hour or two to learn and beat, and that was on the easier ones. I really wanna beat all the data org one day, but it's really tough.

The worlds in this game are some of the best the series has to offer. While the amount of worlds is reduced greatly, each world in this game could fit like 5 KH2 worlds in it, so it makes up for it. The Pirates of the Caribbean world was absolutely incredibly, and blew me away. It basically just plops and open world for you to explore, with really fun ship combat. However, this game also has the Frozen world, which is just really fucking boring. This part of the game is very sluggish and it made my overall experience worse. It's uninteresting, unchanging, not fun, and makes no sense.

The graphics are fucking amazing, some of the best I've seen in any video game. Just walking around the worlds and seeing them is incredible, and revisiting old locations from the PS2 era with new graphics is very refreshing and the look beautiful. The animations are also great. They go for a more bouncier feel with even the Organization, which is refreshing after hours of seeing two black figures stand still talking to each other with 0 motion

The postgame was... fine. It wasn't any better or worse than KH2, just a lot of grinding, none of it particularly fun like KH1.

Overall a really good game, but sadly I was disappointed upon replay, which sucks since I had loved it a lot the first time. Between this game, KH1 and KH2, I have no clue which is my favorite. They all have strengths and weaknesses. I would 100% recommend this series if you haven't tried it.

I didn't care much for multiplayer but the singleplayer was awesome, especially the Octo Expansion. I also really loved Salmon Run.

I really love this game, even if I played it extremely wrong the first time.

The story is great, even if it's not as good as the previous Persona stories. The characters are also great and I like them a lot. I would say this game has a better cast than the rest of the Persona games, but not better characters, if that makes sense.

Where this game really shines in my opinion is the gameplay. The palaces are all decently large and are fun to navigate. I enjoyed battling enemies, and I never felt sick of fighting them. The music is as amazing as ever, especially the battle themes. When the game ended, I felt just so, empty. It's really hard to describe, and none of the other Persona games made me feel this way, even Royal. It wasn't a bad empty either, it was the best possible empty.

This game is incredible, and I don't care if the game is flawed, because it 100% is. However, I still love it dearly, and it's probably the game that got me into not only turned based RPGs, but singleplayer games as a whole.

My #3 favorite games of all time. It's hard for me to describe why I loved this game so much.

The excitement and wonder from climbing and defeating Colossi was great. I didn't love all of the Colossi, but the experiences I had defeating the ones that I did like was amazing and some of my favorite moments while playing games. The soundtrack is absoultely legendary and fits perfectly with the game. The graphics are beautiful, and I spent some time just walking around and enjoying the scenery.

While the game isn't particuarly long, it makes up for it with multiple difficulties, multiple collectibles, time trials, and a large world with a lot of secrets. I also love the atmosphere. This game and Ico have such a strange, otherworldly atmosphere to them that's really hard to describe, and I love it a lot.

The only reason I'm giving this a 90% and not a 100% is because of colossus 11 and 14, who not only basically had the same design, but were not that fun to fight compared to the others. They were by far the smallest, and they were just annoying to fight. They weren't difficult either, just annoying.

Outside of those two though, this game is a masterpiece and I would suggest it to anyone.

Very fun, I would suggest it to anyone, even if you aren't a fan of shooters like me. The most fun I've had in an FPS in a long time.

Note: played on an emulator.

The game has an amazing story, a really cool world, and fun combat, but it was WAY too easy and the combat, while fun, had a lot of missed potential. The only time where the combat really shined was the final boss, but it was over so quickly that I barely had time to appreciate it.

Overall a great game. I really hope we can get a sequel to this game, as there's just too much potential in this type of combat and storytelling, but considering the two games that came after this I do not have hope.

Really great game. I love how they expanded Midgar, and I'm very excited for what is next. I did find the new additions weird, but I am willing to accept them and I am very interested on how the other parts will play out. A good 5 hours of this game was just filler side quests though, which was really annoying.
