I wasn't expecting much from it, but it was pretty fun. The visual style is a bit odd, but the gameplay was good. Surprising number of achievements for such a short game, I might look to 100%ing it.

I love story games, and OPUS has an incredibly cute and endearing main character following a tragically hopeless search. Unfortunately, the beautiful narrative doesn't make up for the abhorrent lack of gameplay. This is some of the most repetitive and uninteresting gameplay I've ever seen. The plot and lovable characters motivated me to reach the end, but they do not make up for the rating.

Actually somewhat educational. Some of the process can be repetitive and annoying (like having to constantly unscrew and screw parts in), but it's realism, so I don't mind. Something to just listen to music and turn your brain off to.

Fun to play around with premade ships, and the movement in any 0-g space game is engaging. The process for making a ship is somewhat intricate and the UI isn't very user-friendly, so I never got around to learning to make my own ship.

If I had a goal in mind and tried to learn construction instead of messing around with workshop stuff, I probably would have had more fun than I did.

2020

This is the reason I place video games in the same category as films and books, in "works of art". The best narrative I know told in the best way it could be.

Not visually impressive, but I couldn't care less. The style fits its purpose and works perfectly to create an unsettling mood throughout the entire ~18-20 hour playthrough.

One of the first games I tried to 100% before I found out how many korok seeds there are... horrible mistake.

Absolutely love games that do not hold your hand. Every inch of the game had something to explore with nothing telling you to do it. Definitely in my top 5.

A fantastic exploration game which encourages you to venture through nothing but sheer curiosity. The environments are incredibly creative, and the lore is captivating to uncover without being so dauntingly complex. I felt the ending was lacklustre on my first playthrough, but that's because I was bringing expectations that I shouldn't have.

A great co-op game that involves coordination and strategy to get far. It's visually simple with a silly and endearing plot, and challenging enough to keep you engaged.

The only reason it isn't in my favourites is because there aren't enough slots. Fantastic story with lovable characters. Don't let the internet ruin it for you

It's $0.99 USD, and it plays like it. Despite that, I've sunk 6 hours into it over a couple of play sessions, because it's COD zombies but instead of zombies they're dinosaurs. Doesn't matter how cheap it is, that's epic. Definitely a game that's better with friends, and well worth the $0.99.

For a game whose title is about the narrative, it had an incredibly lacklustre and disappointing story. The parkour was fun at times, and the movement was okay, but it could also be incredibly difficult to control yourself in the air for certain jumps. It was very short, so I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "waste of my time", but I'm very glad that I got it for free.

While I do agree with most that Pokémon has gotten worse over the years, I don't agree with how much. These games are not bad, and people are expecting too much from them. The graphics, especially when compared with other Nintendo titles on the Switch like Breath of the Wild, leave something to be desired. But aside from that, it's a perfectly fine Pokémon adventure, with a similarly childish but not unentertaining plot and silly characters along the way.

An incredible let down from the first. The hub / open world is incredibly boring and terrible to navigate, the story is nothing, and the characters are uninteresting. LEGO games are not supposed to take themselves seriously, and for some reason, this one feels as if it tried to.

Lots of fun with creative uses of the joy-con to demonstrate its capabilities. Unfortunately, it'll get boring quickly for the same few people, hence its advertisement as a party game.

Amazing game that perfects its gameplay and doesn't try to ruin it with an elaborate story. I can imagine a worse developer trying to explain the key mechanic with some stupid quantum sci-fi device, but Pillow Castle takes an almost psychedelic ability and puts it in a dream-like environment for a surreal and enjoyable experience.
