Look how they massacred my boy.

It's sad to think this will likely be the last chibi-robo game we ever get.

There was not a single stage in this game that I would even consider to be mediocre.

Say it with me, everyone!

THIS GAME BLOWS

I would have given it zero stars, but it wouldn’t let me and the amiibo is kinda cool; although I payed €10 for an Amiibo and a game box.

Scott, why didn't I listen to you?

Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash is the first game that I played where progress through levels is determined by luck. I think it’s a dumb and stupid mechanic that is a complete disrespect of people’s time. 🤢🤮

Even less fun than I could imagine it’s actually impressive how soulless it is

"This game blows!"

Zip Lash is a generic 2D platformer with some interesting ideas. I liked the pressure of the battery timer and the cute, but admittedly distasteful, product placement. On the other hand, some of its ideas, like the randomized stage select, are so baffling that's it's hard to see how this game made it out of testing.

as soon as i finished the first level and saw the destination wheel i returned it

this game blows

what the actual hell happened here? I’d be interested in the idea of a Chibi-Robo platformer but good lord this one of the most lack-luster and boring platformers that I have ever played. It’s the only game in the series that I actively dislike with a passion. Selecting a level via a roulette wheel is just annoying and tedious, I should just be able to pick a stage, not have to gamble and possibly replay a stage I’ve already done.

Just play any of the other ones, avoid this one and just buy the amiibo separate.

+ Bosses get progressively more interesting
+ Plug and cord make for a great weapon mechanic
+ Power-ups are pretty fun
~ Levels are long
~ Chibi Robo effectively leaves his roots
- Constant pop up dialogue ruins pacing
- Animations constantly get reused to seemingly extend game
- Toys are just selling products instead of being an actual character
- Roulette for levels makes no sense
- Can't actually skip levels
- Game doesn't tell you to save Moolah for final boss
- Game requires to replay every level AT LEAST twice to complete it

funny scott the woz joke haha.

i hate that this was released on my birthday

Yeah this wasn't that fun. But it was an alright experience overall.

The roulette serves literally no purpose but to waste your time. The game's slow and not that exciting, which is awful for a platformer. Requiring a massive grind for the final boss found nowhere else in the game...incredibly easy yet somehow frustrating...simply awful.

1 star for the Amiibo.

The most memorable part of this game is that Scott the Woz hates it.

Don't tell him I thought it was a good game, please.

Pretty standard 2D platforming game with the cutesy Chibi-Robo.

It's good enough, even if some level design is basically bullshit.

Don't take the other scores into much consideration, since they're mostly bandwagoning on some dude's unfunny video.

You could literally slap any character on this and it would be the exact same game

It's an ordinary mascot platformer like we have seen a thousands time but also some odd decisions later on in the game.
