Solid game. On the low end of the "good Zelda" scale though. It's let down somewhat by its roster of items... it doesn't really have anything iconic to call its own, at least not now that Skyward Sword stole the Gust Jar and the diggy mitts. There are some very strong dungeons, particularly in the later parts of the game. I have to say I still prefer the Oracle games (yes both of them). They leave a much more permanent impression than Minish Cap does.
Really damn good entry to the 2D Zelda games, really damn good game to the GBA library as well. Feels like the first 2D Zelda to be up to scale with the 3D games. The biggest issue, and personally what I consider the only issue, is the fact that this game is such an absolute pain to complete. This, besides BotW I guess, is the most bored I have been completing a Zelda game. On the surface, it makes everyone's first run very unique, very similar to BotW. Just like BotW, there are aspects of the game that simply drag the game down, in this game it is the green kinstones. I think the unique items such as Light Arrows and Magic Boomerang are fine items as they are definitely something you should know about before replaying the game.
