the tedious repetitive gameplay as a story element to enhance when things actually happen is great - having to balance mistakes and intentionally letting people who shouldn't through is fun and really makes you feel responsible. the game can get boring but the addition of new conditions to check does keep it interesting and eventually memorising all of the conditions is pretty satisfying. game good

the story is a weird dated slightly off-colour mess but it makes up for it with the gameplay being incredibly fun and the excellent music and visual design

genuinely a decent story concept that's very weirdly executed. it feels like a mass effect reskin of an otherwise unrelated sci-fi exploration game meant to get fans into the series but just ended up pissing fans off. it has genuinely pretty locations and some charming albeit underutilised characters like vetra and reyes but the core plot being such a missed opportunity and janky models/gameplay/animations really bring it down

strangely nostalgic for a game that came out in 2022 - definitely has the feeling of discovery pokemon games used to have before you grow out of it. definitely the best modern pokemon game and a fun spin on the tired pokemon format

story about imperialism written by an ex-imperialist country goes about as well as you'd expect. has the best raids/fights in the entire game though... <3 you ivalice

one of the best stories (and osts) gaming has to offer, gorgeous world w/ a unique atmosphere, also a2 is there <3

weak story, huge empty maps, character writing stretched thin over too many companions. i have zero hope for the next entry. also my boyfriend left me at the end of the game :(

what if we curbstomped sun and moon's actually decent writing and made you pay full price again to play comp (at the time) in a copy and paste of the last game that's actively worse. mantine surfing is cute though
