Playing through the series for the first time before Halo Infinite!

A MASSIVE improvement over the first game. Halo 2 is tighter, tougher & a more confident game. The remake work is pretty solid with the cutscenes looking absolutely breathtaking.

There's a few areas where the difficulty is super annoying but man I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fun with this. To me, this was the Halo that everyone talks about that I was looking for.

Halo: Combat Evolved has a lot of atmosphere and it's nice to see where it all started but yeah even with the fancy bells & whistles of next gen, this game is just insanely dated now. I felt aimless for most of it when it came to where I needed to go next and I quickly noticed how often those same hallways were being used (The Library...ugh)

All that said, the game's simple but exciting core gunplay & the fantastic score was enough to keep me going. It helps that it wasn't too long either. Overall, a fine beginning that's hopefully leading to something greater.

The rare game that just does everything it set out to do so perfectly. The music, the acting, the writing, the gameplay & the atmosphere all work so perfectly with each other.

Disco Elysium is a game that would never be made by a AAA studio. The sheer content this has both in routes the player can go & how story driven it is would be enough to send a publisher like EA & Activision running for the hills. Thankfully, this game still got out there and it was an absolute blast.

Played this on my base PS4 and it seems like I was extremely lucky. I had no bugs and it only crashed like once so I can't really comment on the technical issues this game had. From what I can tell as of writing this, it should be pretty much perfect to run now.

More so watched rather than played but yeah while it's certainly just an edgy art project disguised as a mysterious indie game for YouTubers to exploit, there's just something about it's vibe that still compels me to it to this day. The music, the imagery and the utter fear I sometimes feel just thinking about it is enough to make it a win for me.

Bought this to play with a friend fully expecting it to be fucking horrible and...it was surprisingly alright? Not a great game by any means but this was kinda sweet and appreciated some of the depth they added to the characters (something that these FMV games by the same people really lacked)

Had to take a long ass shower after this one.

HUGE improvement on Man of Medan. There's a bigger focus on linearity here but I didn't mind it much as the story was pretty interesting to go through. What it lacked in scares it made up for with fine tuning the core gameplay & pacing. I love the idea of this series and I hope that these first two games provided a strong foundation for some awesome titles later down the line.

Played this with a friend and really enjoyed the experience! The story is meh but I dug the shared story feature a lot and it felt like a really clever way to spice up the formula established in Until Dawn. Playing this alone though probably would've been a slog.

Adore this one! A teen horror film that I control myself is right up my alley and I dug a lot of the choices in the second half. Definitely a major fave of mine in the previous gen.

Genuinely one of the worst games I've played but share play with a friend completely makes this an amazing experience. Having the game completely go ape shit with its camera or having cars fly across the map when I lightly touched them brought me endless joy. Horrible game but it's also kind of a masterpiece.

Just an absolutely fantastic game. Riveting story, excellent performances and a nice evolution to the typical walking simulator with some nice open areas to explore. This was pretty damn excellent.
