2021

A nice little game that doesn't overstay its welcome. Charming and well written with simple photo challenges and puzzles.

One of my favourite games of 2021 and best indies of the year. A wonderful timeloop with great character development and an intriguing twist of a story that evolves as you play and discover. highly recommend

An epic with a great cast of characters and gripping story. While not quite reaching the heights of 2018's entry, it was still a wonderful trip through norse mythology and one of the standout games of 2022.

A simple game with a nice touching story. Audio in the game is a little poor but the traversal is a lot of fun. Still felt too long even in its 5 hour playtime. Worth a play if you are after something traversal based.

A beautiful heartfelt game that exceeded my already lofty expectations. Asobo have hit their stride in this and the production values are top notch. One of my favourite games of 2022.

A wonderful quirky adventure through Japan with Ichiban. The turn based combat was great and I connected with the characters and the story. A joy to complete in 2022.

A graphical spectacle with some gore and serious tension. Although the story never got truly going to epic proportions, the foundation was there and i am excited to see where this studio and the franchise heads in future.

A game that will live on as one of the greats. My favourite game of 2022 and quite possibly the new generation, every part of the game is a masterpiece of design and grandeur.

A good metroidvania with some great 2d art and atmosphere. The backtracking became tedious but the game was short enough to keep me engaged throughout. Looking forward to the studios next project.

2022

A frustrating experience that lacked identity and the ability to double down on the things it did well. the combat was unnecessary and the game should have stuck to the tension and atmosphere as a walking simulator. Unless a fan of the art i wouldn't recommend.

A great short brawler action based metroidvania with fun combat. A little rough in the story department and perhaps relying on too many tropes for my liking, the actual gameplay was great. Recommend for players interested in 2d action platformers.

quite possibly the most disappointing game of 2022 for me. Not because its inherently bad, but because I love what the developers did previously and this was just an okay another world clone. The games story was a little under developed and the actual game play lackluster. Some puzzles were interesting and well fleshed out.

A beautiful story book with choice and narrative. I had a wonderful time with this game and the characters. Well worth playing through if you are a fan of narrative driven games where your choices matter.

one of the surprise hits of the year! hearkens back to the golden age of collectathons and tugged at my nostalgia strings throughout the game. This game is also a joy to play mechanically and had me wanting to collect every thing in each level. A must play!

2022

An eccentric narrative in a strange world brought to life with incredible pixel art backdrops. The story is centre stage here and includes top tier writing and character development. Sometimes it was slightly to ambiguous for my liking and the puzzles felt a little dry at times but overall it was well worth my time.
