A fun 3rd person shooter romp that is weighed down with a weird and disjointed story. Ideas are great but sometimes fails on execution.

A great sequel that captivated even a non star wars fan. Enjoyable combat and worlds. Story missed in the later stages but also had some tension filled highs.

Beautiful art and very enjoyable sandbox which unfortunately has a flat narrative in the end about family and growing up. I would recommend still as the game was short and didn't overstay its welcome.

A masterful story full of slow builds and excellent payoffs. Characters are well developed in a place so pinpoint and niche that you feel like you are really there.

A cute but very trivial and hit and miss short game. The narrative was a little absurd for my taste personally.

I enjoyed Eiyuden chronicles rising more as the game went on even though its formula was repetitive and fetch quest by nature. I am looking forward to hundred heroes in 2023.

A quirky fun yet frustrating game with a great premise but tedious execution. I liked the idea of you suck at parking more than actually playing the game unfortunately.

A great game albeit quite short and not as engaging as the 2 remake. The RE engine is beautiful and the story interesting enough.

A good game that could have been a better movie, supermassive's dark pictures series always feels like a lower budget affair compared to their bigger projects. Some of the writing didn't hit for me but other sections were great,so a mixed bag.

2022

A fun and difficult action brawler with great combat mechanics and a striking artstyle. I enjoyed my time with Sifu in what on paper felt like a game I wouldn't, which is a testament to how fluid it feels while playing. The story served as backdrop and was not a core focus.

A pokemon game that didn't quite gel for me and felt like a bunch of ideas thrown at the wall. The change in catching wild pokemon also felt like a step back and over simplified. It was nice to see a whole new era and time period however and the story was better than previous iterations.

A 1st person tango game-works horror open world adventure game that I enjoyed my time with mostly. The combat felt fluid although grew stale towards the later half and the story was interesting in its delivery.

A wonderful survival horror remake that proves that you can teach an old dog new tricks. The game has polish and plays well and the story of Leon and Claire are gripping to the end of each play-through.

A gripping story where you feel your choices actually matter. A tell-tale like with its own unique art-style and identity that had a lasting effect on me. A must play for fans of story driven branching narratives.

2022

A cat, a bunch of robots and an emotionally heartfelt story help stray become one of the biggest surprises for me of 2022. The world building was great and I look forward to the next game from these talented devs.
