1 year after release its still unfinished. devs abandoned the game. im hardlocked and cannot proceed further because of crashes. please dont support this game.

this couldve been a great game, it does have great potential, but having to aimlessly walking around + not knowing if you have the right abilities for that one section is just killing my fun. it was like 70% playing the game and 30% googling what the game actually wants from me. i dont even wanna know how it would be without the new map update.

besides that, it does have good and unique platforming abilities with well designed areas to explore. not a big fan of the airkicking tho

incredible ending, this couldve been a canon story in the books. unfortunately, the gameplay is flawed and sometimes straight up annoying.

hard to explain, but i disliked many, many things in this game (characters, the anime-style of writing, slow paced + repetitive gameplay, the repeating dialogue, the non-skippable animations...) but was still interested enough that i had to watch a walkthrough in 1.5x speed. very intriguing and likable story - but not enough to balance its flaws.

kinda late to the party, but despite it being a hardcore platformer, i played it through in one sitting. thats how good the game is.

fun as hell.
not a perfect game, truly has some flaws, but the good parts outweigh the bad parts by any means and is ultimately better than the first game imo.

main flaw for many are the semi-open missions and i share that point, but its rather the execution than the idea for me. having 1 mission thats comparable to mirrors edge catalyst couldve been great, but we got a mostly buggy bike (that you cant respawn when its stuck somewhere (whose idea was that)) with heavy performance drops. those missions are still fun and offer great parkour, but not as much as the first half of the game.
rogue-runner gamemode is kind of weird, it unlocks its last stage at nearly the end of the game but u can play it beforehand... whats the reason to lock the stages at all?
its easier than the first game, i'd say. could also be because im just used to the mechanics because of the first game.
lastly the last gimmick of the game thatll be used in one of the last levels (wont spoil here) was not as fluid as expected, couldve been way better.

as for the positive points, oh boy... music is banging, boss fights are better, more environmental variety, more parkour puzzles, the collectables are automatically marked on your map (so you dont have to search every corner of the level but instead just need to search how to get to the collectable), the puzzles in the cyberlevels from GR1 have been replaced with pure parkour levels, better skill system, the only-bike levels are fun, and the general variety in gameplay ideas is insane. this could be seen as a flaw too though, as there are very fun ideas throughout the game but are only used in like a 10-20 min section max. (like e.g. double jump pickups).

definitely a good game.

golden. i love it from the bottom of my heart. it made me feel dread and pain and kickstarted my interest in physics.

i was really hyped for a nice horror game again, but it turned out to be more work than fun. it was way too dark visually throughout the whole game, so i think my eyes were tired of trying to recognize everything in the darkness. enemies come in masses (the same problem re4 remake had, but at least the combat was built around many enemies). it is waaaaaayy too long for the repetitive tasks youre doing + without knowing anything about the story before, the direction they were going for is too obvious. all in all didnt really like the experience. it did have great weight in animations, combat, graphics and atmosphere tho.

the perspective and having to run like 10 secs to the boss everytime you die is so awful garbage

a gem of a movement shooter. really excels in weapon variety and fun. my only critique would be:
- last two levels are kinda not good
- the fact that the majority of levels are locking u in certain areas, not allowing u to go back and search for missed secrets so you have to restart the whole level. its a design choice obviously, just a design choice i dont really like.
- the difficulties dont feel balanced enough. getting killed because of attacks from far away with no way to see them doesnt feel good.

2022

final boss made me block so much i destroyed my LB button

very strong puzzle game - doesnt deserve to be compared to return to obra dinn the whole time because it only shares the genre really.
wanted to solve everything by myself but there were some puzzles i wouldnt have been able to solve without some tips on the internet, especially the last mission.

best rhythm action game out there, easily will be one of the best games in 2023. simple story but well written, characters are actually funny and voiced perfectly. also this game oozes of style. initially wanted to give it a 8/10, but the finale was just too well done.
the only problems i had were that the game was a tad too long and the visual clutter on the bosses especially makes it very hard to be able to parry much.
