One of those perfect games for a quiet afternoon, because it doesn't last more than that, an afternoon, if it even gets there. The premise is very simple: we are a little bird that wants to reach the top of a mountain to get a signal for its mobile phone. During the journey, we will meet other little animals that we can help, engage in activities (fishing, playing an invented sport...), and improve our skills to reach the top more easily. How long it takes us to achieve our goal really depends on us and how much we want to immerse ourselves in its world. I must say that I have found the charm of this title precisely in that, in getting lost in its world and enjoying the journey. After all, that's what this game and life, in general, are about, aren't they?

I'm not quite sure about how to classify this game; we can start by saying that it's a really random game. If we want to categorize it, we would say it's a puzzle game, where we have to find a way to 'Save the day' by interacting with different objects in the scene in the strangest ways imaginable. The truth is, I've had some good laughs with it; I love its silly humor. It really encourages you to interact with all the elements in the scene and see what bizarre things happen. It's a game that doesn't take itself seriously, and that works to its advantage. It's not a masterpiece, nor does it pretend to be; it's a silly game to have a fun time with. I also want to highlight the small mini-games that sometimes appear and the references to other videogames and films have brought more than one smile to my face. My issue with the game comes with the way to complete it 100%. In a puzzle game, the flow of the gameplay is supposed be finding the most optimal way to solve the presented situation, and it's the same here. However, to complete it 100%, you must find all possible routes in each scene, including the ones where you fail. This has its fun side, but sometimes it becomes tedious, slow, and incongruent. Obviously, it's not mandatory, but it's something to consider for completionists like me. Nevertheless, as I mentioned, I recommend the game if you want to have a lighthearted and enjoyable time, especially if you enjoy silly humor.

I really love collectathon games, especially when there isn't just an overwhelming number of items to gather, but the game encourages you to collect them through its level design and gameplay. This is a feat achieved by only a few, like the classic Banjo-Kazooie or surprisingly, this little gem, Tinykin. I loved getting lost in its world and exploring every corner. In fact, I was only 5 nectar short of completing the game 100%, but I didn't make it in time before it was removed from Game Pass. The levels have a lot of verticality and, as I mentioned, are very pleasant to explore. The Tinykin provide a great variety of situations that are cleverly used in different puzzles. I also want to mention that there are some extra stages that are essentially time trials. While they might be anecdotal, they are quite fun and challenging. In conclusion, a very enjoyable game, highly recommended if you're a fan of the genre.
