The actual gameplay of TS isn't pushing any envelopes, but everything around it is teeming with cool. Inspired by the over-the-top action of Bollywood movies, you don't just go down the stairs, you backflip down them, you don't walk around town, you skate doing tricks and combos.

The animation style is stunning. The run time is short enough that the relatively threadbare mechanics never got on my nerves. And the story is laugh-out-loud funny and heartwarming. You don't have to be a 2nd gen Indian immigrant to find the story relatable either.

Wish I played it sooner.

A cute, relaxing puzzle game sort of in the same vein as Unpacking. I find it to be fun to play in short bursts, but it isn't complex or engaging enough for longer play sessions. Some of the puzzles are a little bit obtuse but the hint system is fantastic.

I've logged a few wins under my belt at this point and feel like it's safe to say that if you liked slay the spire you should play this. It's more complex tactically and uses the (very good) Hades trick of tying story progression to wins in the game.

I played hearthstone for probably 5-6 years and then slowly fell off of it so I was excited that Ben Brode was coming out with a new game. Because Snap was built from the ground up to be a mobile experience, it absolutely excels at it. Matches are fun and short, and knowledge of the meta and card interactions are rewarded for skilled players. Does a good job of F2P experience too.

Bloons is an absolute monolith in the tower defense game genre and 6 is a nice culmination of all that's come before it. I'm pretty mid on the introduction of hero monkeys and the monetization of single use items + XP is annoying to see.

I played this game on release and looking back on it I can't remember much. I had fun while playing, but it didn't leave much a mark. If you're a fan of FO:NV or Obsidian in general it's probably worth giving a shot (or if you were considering trying Starfield lol)

Undeniably influential. Decently fun to go back and revisit, but didn't leave too much of a mark on me.

Played this at a friend's house and decided I could never buy it for myself because I'd lose my whole life to it. Crazy fun.

There is simply no better pirate game. The ship combat is engaging, complex, and fun. The pirate cove that you run for your crew and merchant fleet is so satisfying to upgrade - building brothels and breweries to keep morale up for your crew. Upgrading your ship's weapons and choosing how you want to fight: mortars, ramming, broadsides, etc. Finding legendary pirate pistols, swords, and armor.

The thing that the game nails is that the world is beautiful and you want to explore it and every single turn that exploration is rewarded and feeds back into some other fun and satisfying game system.

And did I mention the sea shanties! I can still sing several from memory lol

A testament to narrative design in videogames.

Google has managed to make a passable arcade endless runner. It's nothing to write home about, but it's perfectly serviceable.

I've never played the multiplayer, but the campaign is one of the best FPS campaigns ever made. The gunplay is phenomenal, the story is well-paced and doesn't get in the way, and the set pieces are cool and well-varied. If you've ever liked an FPS you should play this campaign. It regularly goes on sale for dirt cheap!

FO:NV is the game that got me into RPGs. The amount of ownership and impact you have on the world is remarkable. Melee leaves something to be desired (creation engine issues) but even just thinking about different builds you can make and different decisions you can take is fun.

One of the best exploration/detective-style games ever made.

I don't know if Nier: Automata is a perfect game, but it was a perfect game for me when I played it and I still remember it fondly.
