(Played Via Legendary Edition on Steam)

I have heard two of my friends praise this game trilogy endlessly for the better part of a year. They did not disappoint in the slightest.

First and foremost the characters are simply phenomenal and are so memorable. I really like them all, whether it's a main party member like Ashley or a more minor character like Captain Anderson. Personal favorites were Garrus and Wrex, Tali was cool as well but there wasn't a whole lot of plot relevance for her but I hear that changes in the other games. Liara has a lot of plot relevance and is cool but she just didn't end up as one of my favorites. Ashley and Kaidan aren't necessarily bad in any way I do like them but I just find them less compelling compared to my Alien buddies. The side characters are also pretty cool like Cool Mass Effect Black Guy that I've already mentioned, Joker plays a small role but is memorable as the pilot of the Normandy. Even the Council have some great moments (when you disconnect of course). Conrad Verner is someone I'm looking forward to see as well as the Reporter as those scenes were simply hilarious.

The story is very engaging with a fantastic intro that does an extremely good job at easing you into the world with lots of memorable moments even within the first couple hours. Overall it's quite short if you only do the main story missions but even then you'll have a damn good time. The story teaches you lots about the world and will throw some massive revelations near the end of the game which completely change the way you perceive things. This was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The voice acting was top tier with Male Shepard's VA killing it especially with the Renegade options. Captain Anderson was another memorable one that I enjoyed quite a bit, definitely looking forward to seeing more of him. The Music is generally not my style but I really enjoyed it. With "Vigil" quickly becoming one of my favorites.

The gameplay is wonderful with lots of variety. I really enjoyed debating on what I upgrades I should focus on for which character. The abilities where tons of fun to use as well. I also liked that the weapons don't have to reload and instead they can overheat, it's a shame it was changed for a regular reloading system. By the end of the game I was so overpowered I was one shotting the Geth and it was crazy. Not a complaint since I just found it pretty cool and funny but I thought I should mention it.

At first I hated the Mako more than anything and I audibly sighed everytime I saw it on screen. But by the end I grew to love it. At first I couldn't handle it properly (it was worse in the original) but eventually I adapted and grew to love the hilarious moments that came with it. Forever in our hearts, Mako.

The lore and worldbuilding in this game is simply immaculate and is so well done. A big reason why it's so good is because the writing is top tier. I can't wait to see how this changes from game to game.

This is a wonderful game and I can't believe a game of this size and ambition released back in 2007. This is a wonderful intro to the Mass Effect Universe and I cannot wait to jump into Mass Effect 2 shortly.

This game surprised the hell outta me. Persona 5 Royal is my favorite game of all time and all I really wanted from this game was a memorable adventure with the Phantom Thieves and it delivered and then some.

The story isn't as good as it's predecessors but I really like it for what it is. The beginning three Jails in this game will remind P5 fans of similar situations in the main game. A lot of people didn't like this because it felt too similar but I personally I love it. I think it was a really intelligent move because we've seen these characters have grown and get to see more of that side in this game. With Alice's Jail we get to see that she's not gonna back down and let people be manipulated and hurt after her experiences with Kamoshida. With Natsume's Jail you get to see Yusuke being reminded of his troubled time with Madarame but he eventually overcomes that and gives Natsume a harsh lesson. Not telling him to give up on writing but try again and make something you can truly be proud of. I really liked this part of the game because Yusuke's character shines so brightly here. I wasn't the biggest Yusuke guy in Royal, I didn't hate him or anything but I didn't have a strong feeling about him. Then to top it all off it has a banger boss fight.

In Mariko's Jail, Haru finally gets the spotlight she has deserved for so long and only made me love her even more. I love that Mariko has a history with Haru and you get to learn more about her past. Another thing I like is that the game isn't afraid to talk about Okumura, Haru's dad. In general the game does that very well which I appreciate since some spin-offs don't like referencing the source material very weirdly.

After that it's the obligatory Beach episode which was pretty fun. After that there's a cool scene where all the residents of Okinawa are out with pitchforks looking for the gang which was really eerie but also really funny in retrospect. The atmosphere was just great. Anyways the Jail is quite short but you start learning more about the games mysteries so it was nice to get some answers. The final boss of this area was pretty underwhelming but we did get that now iconic moment with Ryuji finally saying Fuck out loud, so that was pretty hype.

After this is one of the most memorable passages of the game. Akane, Zenkichi's daughter's Jail. This was just executed so damn well. From Zenkichi and Akane having a real heart to heart moment trying to figure out where it all went wrong to the final boss where we fight shadow versions of ourselves. It was just amazing. I love when Futaba and Zenkichi have to storm the Jail by themselves since the rest of the Phantom Thieves were caught it was just really cool. Zenkichi's awakening was also badass.

After this is another high point in the game. Akira Konoe's Jail. This was just a blast through and through. The theme and setting of the Jail is really great and iconic. In my opinion Konoe's is one of p5's best villains, he was just so memorable and a great character. Now I do like Shido but I feel like this is what Shido should've been. Shido is ultimately a mustache twirling villain which isn't necessarily a bad thing but a little bit disappointing as a final boss. The mech fight with Konoe is awesome but that's not even the best part. The next part of the battle opens with Konoe's mech blowing up but he manages to get out and walks away from the explosion Power Rangers Style and it fits so well thematically and is just badass, especially with Counterstrike starting up at the same time with Lyn killing it. It's just such an incredibly hype moment. Overall this was my favorite part of the game by far.

The last two dungeons were really short and just meant to wrap up the story. From a gameplay point of view they're extremely disappointing with them being very short but just filled to the brim with enemies, no puzzle to solve just a straight shot to your destination. From a story point of view it's quite good. You find out Ichinose is the creator of Sophia (who didn't predict that) and fight God Emma which was actually really cool. The final boss for this game is just awesome with every single party member playing some sort of role to bring down the big bad. I also really like the final blow cutscene as opposed to P5 Vanilla or P5R. In those two it's just Joker dealing the final blow but here everyone comes together to do a combo attack and was just hype.

The characters new and old are all pretty good in this game. Everybody has their moment some are big some are small but they do get it. Ann has the Alice arc, Yusuke has the Natsume arc, Haru has the Mariko arc, Futaba has her moment when she and Zenkichi raid the Kyoto Jail, Zenkichi has his own with the Akane arc, Sophia has hers with the penultimate Jail, Makoto has hers with Zenkichi as she frequently explained how Akane might be feeling having been in a similar position, Morgana and Ryuji both have theirs in the Okinawa Jail where they defend Sophia and pop off on the warden.

Zenkichi is a big favorite of mine and Sophia was another wonderful addition. Ichinose and Konoe are both top tier villains.

The music bangs in classic Persona 5 fashion with Lyn especially popping off. The opening theme "You are Stronger" was stuck in my head during the long months we were waiting for this game and rightly so. The Voice Acting is really good with special mention for Zenkichi and Sophia's VA. Zenkichi's personality popped off the screen and Sophia progressively sounds less and less robotic which was a nice touch and this is especially apparent during her confrontation with Ichinose. The only issue with the audio is some of the mixing. I realize that recording had to be done during the Pandemic with everyone having different home studios but it can be a little jarring. Sometimes Ryuji is going at full blast but I can barely hear Morgana. Nothing major given the circumstances but a little off putting.

This was my first experience with a Musou game and I loved it. It was a wonderful collaboration with the traditional Musou formula mixed with the turn based combat of Persona. The level design was very fun and open. Lot of very nice combos and movement options. Overall I had a good time with it and I'm interested in getting into some other games of this genre.

This was an extremely memorable Summer with the Phantom Thieves and I'm glad I played this game. Made me love some of my favorite characters even more while introducing me to new ones. It had very satisfying gameplay and made me appreciate a new genre.

My first REAL game and man I fucking loved it. The reason I got into Pokemon or gaming in general for that matter. Aside from my emotional connection to the game this is genuinely peak pokemon and I love it. I just wish it was appreciated more by the fans back in the day.

Joker: Love P5 and love that this gave the series some more attention and he's so much fun to play 10/10
Hero: Another deserving character in one of the best modern JRPGs 10/10
Banjo-Kazooie: Absolute classic from my childhood and I couldn't be happier 10/10
Terry: Haven't played FF or SNK but he's very fun to play 8/10
Byleth: Big 3H guy but man was this underwhelming. Bad way to finish this Fighters Pass and the reveal was just shit. Literally a cutscene from the game. They're fun to play as though 8/10

THEY FIXED THE DOOR
PEAK FICTION RIGHT HERE

Goddamn I'm the first one to review it on the PSP lol.

Anyways this was a very fun game from my childhood that I have lots of fond memories of.

Yet another amazing installment in a franchise that is quickly becoming one of my favorites. As I've mentioned before, if you wanna dive into these games you need to start with the foundation of 0, you'll also get an awesome game to boot.

The Narrative and presentation is amazing. Yet another gripping Crime Drama story which I'm becoming a sucker for. A great cast with lots of depth. Even the side characters have their own little arc and spotlight which was very cool, excited to see their future in the franchise. While some plot twists I personally saw coming from a mile away, there were a good few that blew my mind. Not to mention ANOTHER spectacular villain. The story was seriously memorable and one of my favorites. I cannot stop thinking about it even a few days after beating the game.

The most notable thing coming from Kiwami or 0 is the new Dragon Engine. This engine is simply fantastic. No load times so you can walk into any store buy something and walk out or just grab a quick bite to eat. Everything is interactable in this game and can make for some stupid but highly entertaining moments that always had me laughing. The game also looks wonderful but it also does make the step down to the old ps3 engine for Yakuza 3 a bit harder, which isn't a big issue to be honest because even that game still looks good. Just a great engine and can't wait to play 6 so I can have some more fun here.

A big change to the gameplay was that instead of the 4 fighting styles, it is now one. I know this will probably lead to people getting bored of the gameplay easily which is understandable. However, it was the opposite for me, this was probably the most fun I've had with the gameplay of a Yakuza game. I mentioned earlier that you can interact with just about any object and that includes combat. I can pick up the bikes or the signs and just bludgeon the thugs to hell and back (Kiryu didn't kill anyone tho). It keeps the variety in the combat and the ragdoll physics are also hilarious. I know it won't be for everyone but overall I had a blast.

Once again Takaya Kuroda (Kiryu's VA) absolutely kills it, with his peers doing a great job as well. Solid OST with another great battle theme. Side Content was also very fun with some very memorable sub-stories. The various mini games were also a ton of fun.

However one thing that isn't exactly this games fault but an issue I have with the franchise is the fact we don't get to see a major character from this game in future installments. That being the badass Yakuza Huntress herself, Kaoru Sayama. She plays a massive role in this story and is a great character and I would've loved to see more of her in the other games. She was also a love interest with Kiryu so I would've loved to see that dynamic play out. Again not the fault of the game but something that left me disappointed.

Overall this is a wonderful game that is certainly one of the best in the series. If you wanna get into this series then you gotta go with 0 to start so you get a proper foundation of the world and characters. If you've enjoyed the 0 and Kiwami 1 then you'll have a blast with this entry as well. Wonderful game.

This is masterpiece that came out of nowhere that barely anybody knew about until the devoted fans of this game helped spread the game through word of mouth. Thanks Atlus' marketing team. Nah but seriously, don't wait to pick this up when people all of a sudden start talking about in a few years, do it now.

Firstly, let's talk about the most striking part of the game at a glance, the fantastic artstyle. This is certainly one of the best art styles I've seen and definitely my favorite. This game just kills the lighting, animations, and environments. It's a delight to look at.

I don't want to speak too much on the story because this is a game you should absolutely go blind into story wise at least. However, the bare minimum you should know is that you are controlling 13 different protagonists throughout the story (seems like a tough concept but it's handled very well), and that the gameplay revolves around fighting Kaiju in a RTS gameplay system.

This is an incredibly ambitious story and as a result, it can be difficult to keep track of at times. So the good people over at VanillaWare had the genius idea of having a full on Analysis mode which allows you to go through the story chronologically, go in-depth for specific characters, or just simply look into short descriptions of items, weapons, or places in the world. Seriously don't ignore this mode it can be very helpful.

Onto the gameplay, this is the weakest aspect of the game but it's still tons of fun. I appreciate the slow introduction to the gameplay and its systems as most people haven't played and RTS before. Another thing I wish more games did was allow you to select the difficulty after playing some of the game and if you ever wanna make it easier or harder you can swap it very easily. I had a lot of fun with the gameplay and is a great intro to RTS games and I'm definitely gonna try out something like Starcraft in the future.

The characters are just so well written and while there are definitely weaker characters, I honestly can't pick a favorite. Yuki is just a badass, Ogata is hilarious, Gouto has an aura of mystery, and Natsuno is very cheerful and charming. Another thing, the Voice Acting is top notch Atlus got some very talented people who poured their heart into their roles and I really really appreciate that. It just makes them feel so real and I can't imagine playing the game without those wonderful performances. Their individual stories may only be 2 hours each but from that, the writing, and appearances in other stories, great voice acting, these characters are full of life and may possibly be my favorite cast in any game.

Now onto the smaller things, the OST is pretty good and really sets the mood. The tone is balanced very well from Ogata cracking a joke to Ryoko struggling to stay conscious, it really immerses you into the world and what the characters are feeling which is really weird to say of a VN/RTS game. The worldbuilding is fantastic and has lots of layers. Character designs are awesome with Miura and Takamiya being my favorites.

At launch this game sold very poorly, but thanks to the awesome community (which is probably my favorite community) singing its praises long enough for others to take notice its sold a remarkable 500K. May not seem like much when you compare it to a Mario game but for a very niche genre-blend this is more than even the best case scenario. Seriously buy this game, it's usually half off and is well worth the price. This game is a masterpiece

Min Min: Unpopular Opinion but I enjoyed Arms and I felt this was deserved. Would've preferred a third party rep but this is one of the best 1st parties we could've got. 7/10
Steve: One of the most deserving characters 10/10
Sephiroth: One of gaming's most iconic villains and definitely deserved. Also adds another Villain which Ultimate is short on. 10/10
Pyra/Mythra: Don't care much for them as character as I've yet to play Xenoblade 2. But more Xenoblade Attention is pretty epic. 8/10
Kazuya: Tekken is one of the greatest fighting games and I'm also a very big Tekken fan so this was mindblowing 10/10
Sora: An ending that is simply too good to deny. Phenomenal trailer, fun character, and one amazing Smash history finally resolved. 9/10

The end of an era to say the least. I will look back fondly on these years as this was the Golden Age of Smash.

This game is painfully mediocre. Kirby games aren't supposed to be hard, I know that, but this is so mindless I was playing this as I was watching my friends play Minecraft and didn't die a single time (maybe I should've played minecraft). I beat this game in one sitting taking around 6 hours and was boring for the most part. There is no interesting theme or gimmick like Planet Robobot it's just a super generic game you wouldn't expect from Kirby considering the team always has unique and intriguing ideas up their sleeve. Boring game, gonna go play Planet Robobot now.
5/10

This is probably the greatest fighting game ever made. The only real knock I have against this game is the story mode. It quickly gets repetitive and boring fighting the same few gimmicks in slightly different ways. That mode aside, the game is stellar. The game is balanced incredibly well, tons of great and fun modes, and eternally fun gameplay. Everyone is truly here and more are on the way. This will be the biggest Smash game in existence and will not be topped. This is a game I will return to for many years to come.
