i just loved this game. everything from the atmosphere to the creature design; the weapon names and the delicious delicious particle effects. never had a problem with the old “can’t save ur runs” gimmick cuz i didn’t have a ps2 memory card for the first year i had the fucker. so i know a thing or 2 about having to play for a while.
roguelikes have become a favorite genre of mine and Returnal is a hallmark of the genre. i’m genuinely upset i don’t have a reason to keep playing.
the story can be a little arthouse but it still is so creepy and wonderful. really loved this one. easily my GOTY for 2021
