this is a really gripping experience and I highly recommend committing to it. the gameplay isn't perfect, I personally found the large majority of puzzles to be monotonous and tedious. there are stronger puzzles but few and far between frankly. especially when the game emphasises death as a total restart, doesn't encourage exploration and limits the ability to understand whats going on in dire situations. in saying all this the combat feels fantastic, the bosses especially I found really compelling in all regards. but the atmosphere and story are the main staying factors. blown away by the sheer discomfort and unease many of this games moments brought me. do wish it may have been a little shorter as I found myself less worrysome and potentially fatigued by the many ways psychosis is represented throughout. maybe thats intended, maybe its not?

the way they have beautifully crafted multiple sets of 'languages' that feel engaging and challenging to unravel is fantastic and I wish I could learn them all over again. cannot believe the game has precision stealth sections. dearly wish this did not exist. however, puzzle game good :)

despite all the opportunities the game creates to yield an open ended, multi-faced run and gun, ultimately there is no reason to use majority of the weapons or magic at your disposal. combined with a lackluster display of enemy types, it makes the combat feel bloated and repetitive. the story is fine and I enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters, but the overall gameplay left me pretty bored past the halfway point. main takeaway was....ehhhhh
