This is my second review of the game. My first one was written after only getting the fires of raven ending and this is being written after achieving the liberator and alea lacta est ending to document how my opinions changed.

From the lore , oppressive atmosphere and the character developments I feel that this game is a modern masterpiece. Armored core 6 features some of the smoothest and most entertaining combat I’ve ever played in a game. From soft doesn’t normally have their characters develop so heavily throughout the game but I was genuinely invested in seeing how rusty , ayre , Carla , Walter , and Iguazu develop throughout the game. I was initially intimidated by the thought of having to replay the game two times to see everything but after knowing where everything else I burned through in about 2 hours per play through plus with each ng+ cycle new content is added to spice things up. I still don’t enjoy the bosses but if fromsoft decided to make another with an even higher budget it would go down in history as a work of art

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 feels like the perfection of the xenoblade formula as someone who has played the entire trilogy . With an amazing story and a cast of characters that feels truly alive combined with a beautiful musical score I feel comfortable calling it a modern day masterpiece and the best xenoblade game thus far

I miss the era where games weren’t too ambitious or costly for their own good so you could get cool experiments like this with clear passion put into them. Finishing an opponent on round two for a “TARGET DESTROYED” is awesome

Rating : 8/10. An enhanced version of the original Darkstalkers a year after it released akin to something like a street fighter 2 turbo. The roster receiving 4 new characters which was already incredibly distinct makes this a definitive version of the first game to play.

Get a group of 3-4 people with a basic knowledge of dragon ball and casual fighting game experience and this basically becomes a party game

The discourse surrounding this game has scared so many people away from actually giving it a shot. If you take the plunge and dive into this game you’ll discover a rich and depth filled world and very complex layered characters. Don’t let the fanbase discourage you from giving this game a chance

My friends have been telling me to play this game for literal years and I feel bad for not listening. This is most likely the best prequel game I’ve ever played and it’s encouraged me to continue on to the rest of the series. Never have I played a game that felt so grounded and real . I don’t have much else to say other than regret over not playing this masterpiece sooner

Fun game even though I hated the special stages and time travel gimmick. If you played this with the US soundtrack you’re a fed

As much as the “it really makes you FEEL like ___” trope has been done to death in superhero game reviews I really felt like Spider-Man here. The quick and smooth combat, suits with sometimes deep comic connection , story that actually had stakes (which with the way they’ve been handling peters Spider-Man in the comics is extremely rare nowadays) and awesome story set pieces i had a great time here. It sometimes felt like a movie instead of a game at times with how investing it is. I will say though stealth gameplay was very clunky and when you have to play as miles and Mj it drags even though it’s not entirely bad

Rating : 6.5/10. Hotline Miami is a fun game with admittedly addictive gameplay unfortunately many times during the game I encountered bugs like not being able to complete levels because of enemies spawning out of bounds (commonly happened in levels with multiple elevating floors) which would require me to restart them all the way from the beginning. Two other very glaring issues I had were enemies instantly killing you out of view after standing in their range for half a second and also how melee weapons snap a lot of the difficulty in half. I still had fun but I don’t understand the glowing praise this game gets it didn’t do anything to particularly stand out in my mind

This review contains spoilers

I started with 0 so maybe I was spoiled in that regard but this game was just “Ok” compared to that in my opinion. The story was well executed here but they didn’t let dramatic moments and death scenes linger long enough and show their effect on kiryu until the very end. I feel like more time should’ve been given to show him trying to cope because he literally lost the most important people in his life during the end half of this game. Another thing that feels jank and rough around the edges was the combat. The new feature where bosses can recover in combat doesn’t seem balanced at all and I had a strange issue where enemies I would attack from behind would rotate around mid combo and start blocking in the middle of it and the closest thing the player can do in that regard is countering in brawler style. My last gameplay complaint is that fighting any sort of armed enemy is or enemies in groups is abysmal because no matter how much I equipped dragon shirt and upgraded my defenses any small poke from a knife turns kiryus knees into jelly. Honestly the plot was really solid and well executed aside from the very telegraphed predictable death scenes. When I saw the grenade laying next to shimano I just sighed because I knew what was going to happen. Or when characters magically teleport in front of bullets after the triggers are pulled. I still think the story’s themes of found family are very beautiful and the final shot of Haruka and Uncle Kaz walking off put a tear in my eye. Solid game but it could’ve easily been so much better

There’s no way Jeff Kaplan isn’t hurt by how they massacred his baby. The only time I play this is when a girl asks me to

The cheap ambush spawns make me think the developers of this game got too excited with the new event scripting that allowed them to have certain events play out when you pick up items and went overboard. Completely erases the skill based formula of doom 1 but super shotgun is awesome

2016

Super fun game with amazing music and combat but everything else feels half baked. There’s such an alarming amount of janky platforming in a game obviously not built for it. My biggest praise for this game is the difficulty I played through my first time on ultra violence and it was an amazing adrenaline rush. All in all I would say it’s solid not groundbreaking but nowhere near terrible

Standard fire emblem gameplay it’s ok here too but there’s really stinky sections like the fog map with zephiel. I find the plot to also be super boring until nearly the very end and also never got the appeal of lyn as a character
